Hi Oldcastle thanks for the help managed to get the mic working using Wine Staging (that solved the problem). Something on the web about Wine-RT and also a post from Arkforest who has a youtube channel saying he had similar problems on another forum and wine-staging changed that. Seems odd wine stable wont work? Why is that?

It's great that you've started to get things going :-) No idea. I never used wine stable, always staging.

I will have to look into this myself. Seems like there should be a work around out there.

Have you looked at "qjackctl"? (you must have, it is what pipewire came from I think)
Also, "carla" might be something else to tie into the search mix.
What is the structural integrity of a compound when it is broken down to its wave form?

The same as everything else that surrounds it.

Yes I've used Carla many times to run vst plugins within tracktion Linux and also have used cadence and caria. Qjackctl comes with Ubuntu studio so I use that in conjunction with Ubuntu studio controls and find that this element of Ubuntu studio (auto patching) is great. Everything works fine apart from bridging certain plugs in Carla for Linux tracktion need to be run in virtual desktop mode so if I open a plugin gui I'm stuck with the plugin full screen in a bright blue virtual desktop but it's use able and workable. Seems wine and vsts have a lot of scaling issues all fixed by being run in virtual desktop mode. Not that it matters too much as I am using more one shots and loops than synths.

Yes I have pipewire it came with 22.10 and to be fair 22.10 is a great version of Ubuntu. Many good updates like dark and light schemes / pipewire audio and accent colours.

Here's hoping to mulab adding more mux. Modules in the future.

Yes Qjackctl is good but much easier. To run with Ubuntu studio controls.
