I like the looks of the Taiga, and the oscillators sometimes sound stunningly good in some of those demos. The rest of it, well... I'd have to try one in person before spending $800 and having to replace my Minibrute 2S.

LoopOp's video showed the envelope control response isn't great. He kind of downplayed the BBD delay, and BoBeats' video showed just how awful it sounds with some material (though I bet it does suit some patches). The filter and LPG aren't super exciting IMHO. So mostly it's about those tasty oscillators.

It's like 45% Vurt's fault. The rest is from "whoa" moments in demos both for WP itself and for Taiga, and thinking about how much I miss Double Helix.

from about 4.30 onwards, i liked the sound so much, i stopped tweaking

almost turns in to a guitaresque ambient noodle.
just the west pest oscillator, not even the folder, in to strega for processing. hope this wets the appetite

Nice. Mine's supposed to arrive Monday... though we're taking a road trip Wednesday. I might have to bring it along, especially if the Ripcord will power it with a USB battery
