MRecord - silence at beginning of recordings

I’ve been trying to use MRecord as a quick way to compile Samples as I’m working.
I’m 99% there! I love this utility…
The only hiccup is I can not get it to start recording when playback starts.
When set to “pause on playback stop” I hit record, it shows it’s waiting, I playback and it shows its recording. The recordings always have silence at the beginning.
Tryed the cut below threshold and that is helpful but I’m recording chunks of music where I want to preserve timing.
Is there a setting I’m missing?
(in ableton 11/ Mac mini m1 native Monterey)

Edit:
Maybe i should be using Superlooper for this instead. Going to try that

I'm not sure how to understand. Perhaps a video would help.

MRecord doesn`t have LatencyCompensation for the recorded material --> so if you have any FX wich intorduces Latency before MRecord you will get a delayed recording (silence in the beginning).
FR--> I would love to see the possiblity of a automatic or manual Latency Compensation in "samples and milliseconds".

Everyone knows more than I do...

I would expect the DAW to handle that, rather than MRecord.
It’s been a while, but I think this is what I remember from REAPER: if you put MRecord at the end of an FX chain, it will have some empty samples because of latency. But if you put it on a parent track, or a send, then REAPER compensates the latency from the different tracks and everything lines up.

Sounds like latency indeed (though the video is not available anymore). The plugin cannot really know the latency and DAWs probably won't compensate for this as that could actually lead to changes in the audio. But that's partly the problem - if MRecorder would ignore the silence in the beginning, it could actually ignore something that IS relevant. (e.g. preringing in LP eqs)

:Confirmed:
It was just the DAW latency. MRecord works flawless when I put it last in chain on Master Bus. Thanks
