Live Matrix: Presetting imported Clip's Loop Length and Note Action

Hi all,

I have a workflow where I'm dragging in several .mid files into the Live Matrix of MuLab plugin, that I created from a separate DAW. I then map each of the clips to a Note Action corresponding to pads from my grid MIDI Controller one by one. To make sure the clips loop properly, I also manually one-by-one set the loop length for each clip to the end-point of the .mid's last note.

I was just wondering / hoping:
> For the Note Action Mapping, is there a way to pre-set different spaces of the Live Matrix to be triggered by notes? So when I drag MIDI clips into each space, they're already ready-to-be triggered by my grid controller? I know you can pre-set this for Scenes, but couldn't find anything for the clips.
> For the Loop Length, right now every MIDI Clip I drag into the Live Matrix is by default set to a loop length of infinity. Is there a way to change that default pre-set loop length for imported MIDI clips to something like "2" or "4" instead? Or make the clip just loop from the start to wherever my MIDI clip's last note ends? At the moment, the quickest thing I can find is using a short-cut key for "change loop length", but it's still a one-by-one process. Just trying to see how I could easily make all the dragged-in MIDI clips properly loop by default - from where their last note ends, or at a smaller set length than infinity. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Best,
Andrew

No, currently there isn't a way to do that, maybe in the future, it's up to Jo. I'd also like this feature as it'd improve workflow with pad controllers.

When I was organizing my MIDI files some were looping perfectly, while others played just one time. Maybe it has to do with how the MIDI file was saved and where were the loop points set. Sorry for not being too helpful here, I'm not so familiar with how MIDI works, but I'm sure there is a way around your 2nd point.

I agree it would be a handy feature.
Can't evaluate the tech side of it atm as i'm working on another aspect.
