We fixed it. Once we test it properly we will release an update next week

Would love some option on the website to complete the everything bundle when you have most of it or some offer if you own all the expansions for Synthmaster 2 to buy S2 itself at a deep discount. Kinda random but I've been thinking that.

The desctruction that's spread to 10 different cities (in Turkey alone) is at an unprecedented level

Hello, i try to ask here a question that i asked two or three times on the FB group without gettin any answer.
I'd like to try to use Synthmaster 2 to "emulate" my old Ensoniq SQ1. I have already the original PCM samples as wav file, and Synthmaster seems to be able to do the job.
What i don't want to do is to re-create each SQ1 patch from scratch, one-by-one, step-by-step: instead, i would like to convert the SQ1 sysex files in Synthmaster patches, at least to start from something a bit "raw" that only need fine-tuning.
Do do this, i'd need to know how a Synthmaster preset file is made, how it is "formatted", so i can write my converter.
Is it possible to know the preset file format?

Either KV331 is giving you that info, or you need to reverse engineer it, which might break the license, would most likely sound different anyway and is more work than programming each patch by hand….
I would rather get Arturias SQ80 emulator and use that instead…

Oh, no. I own SM2 and that's why i'm asking. If i don't get answers i think i'll switch on Omnisphere, which i MAY buy if a test goes well, which patches are saved in plain text format.Tj Shredder wrote: Wed May 03, 2023 2:56 am Either KV331 is giving you that info, or you need to reverse engineer it, which might break the license
It will sound different no matter what. The SQ1 effects are a good part of the synth sound, and that's where i can just go "similar". So, I'll be happy to have "similar" sounds: the 90's "vibe" of the synth is what i miss.
This is a statement that may be true or not, depending on my coding skill and speed, and the number of patches i have to convert.
Total different machines, despite the sharing "SQ" in the name.Tj Shredder wrote: Wed May 03, 2023 2:56 amI would rather get Arturias SQ80 emulator and use that instead…

My bad, I overlooked the numbers.
Synthmaster seems to be the goto synth for recreating old sounds. Their sound packs have a good collection of those…

Well, my first problem is to find a synth architecture that could do what the SQ1 do: This is a single OSC "route". There's 3 of them, going on the multieffect after the "Amp" stage.Tj Shredder wrote: Wed May 03, 2023 7:53 am My bad, I overlooked the numbers.

So, you can see the SQ1 as a "3 layer" synth. Only few VST have this kind of structure (sample/wavetable capable OSCs, a filter for each OSC is a big part of the SQ1, even more than it's special multieffect stage, then there's the need of good modulation matrix).
So, my option are limited: i don't know a ALL the VSTs around, so AFAIK only SM2, Omnisphere, Alchemy and perhaps Falcon can do (sometime with some trick or compromise) what i need.
And i own SM2 (picked it as a prize in the One Synth Challenge exactly for this purpose: too bad i can't get answers).

Actually regarding architecture, the SQ-80 would come closest. It was basically an enhanced SQ-1. It should even load SQ-1 sounds according to some forums on the webs….
