MRecorder-Retrospective Record-48kHz in 96kHz Reaper Project

Hi. I just tried to save and import a file created with MRecorder's Retrospective Record function. It created a 48kHz file despite the plugin being inserted in a 96kHz project. This is reaper 6.73, melda 16.03. Can someone test to confirm, please? Thanks.

The issue is, in Reaper you can set different sample rate in project and in audio settings. If you want to use sample rate set in the project, you have to enable "Allow projects to override device sample rate" in Device/ Audio device settings, otherwise project settings is ignored.
The retrospective recording feature was initially meant to catch work which was not recorded by accident etc... and used common sample rate 48 KHz. Anyway, we have fixed that and it will be working with corresponding sample rate in the next plugin version. The sample rate will be used either from the project or from Audio device settings, which ever has higher priority.
Thank you for your finding.

Hi, Martin. Thanks for your reply. I checked my audio settings and I had the box for 'Allow projects to override...' checked. This must've been the case when this MRecorder issue happened because, in the past, I've loaded 48kHz projects which have kicked my Babyface over to that sample rate (messing up my routing in the process). So, maybe that's not the issue. What I do not have checked is 'Request sample rate'. Also, I'm using 'Audio thread: ASIO default / MMCSS Pro Audio / Time Critical' though I don't expect you to need that.martin-meldaproduction wrote: Mon Feb 06, 2023 11:01 am The issue is, in Reaper you can set different sample rate in project and in audio settings. Anyway, I'm glad that MRecorder will will pull from the project sample rate. I used to work at 48kHz but find it easier to use 96kHz instead of oversampling all my distortions. Yes, it's almost into 'woo-woo' territory but, hey, I like adventure
