is this still available?
Yes, I think so. You can try to write the author about that (on TimeFreezer site). It has not being developed for a while ad it seems abandoned, but the site is on and it seems that it can be bought.

It's still working on my Mac (OS 10.14 Mojave, at present, but planning to update my MacOS soon, so in the future we'll see if it will work also on my updated Mac).

It's a real pity how the best and most accurate softwares are sometimes those that get abandoned. In this case, people seems not to understand that the fidelity to the original given by TimeFreezer is superior, better than that achieved by most of the other similar resynthesis tools: you can have a voice saying an "S", or even a "T", or a short percussion attack in your sample, and still, with TimeFreezer, you can go to and fro extremely slowly through that small instant of sound practically without audible changes in the timbre with respect to the original (if the settings are correct).

Non-tonal sounds (or components of sounds).

Wasn't there a discussion quite a ways back why these were problematic for resynthesis?

Is that still a limitation?

Could you please share your source ? Have they shared more info, like an ETA and if it includes Mac builds as well ?
Currently using FL wrapper inside Live to use that beats of a synth, a more streamlined workflow would be wonderful. Thanks !

It depends on the software you use for the resynthesis. For example, Apple Alchemy (integrated in Logic) in the Spectral or Add+Spectral modes, Time Freezer, Photosounder, and Spear (a free standalone resynthesis Mac software) do not have many problems with the non-tonal part of the sounds. I use them and I know it. Time Freezer is particularly good at that.
Judging from the videos in this thread, I get the impression that Vengeance Avenger 2 in the Song/Mix mode doesn't have problems with the non-tonal sounds, too, while, for example, Icarus and Loom II might have some problems resynthesizing the non-tonal part of a sound (I don't own these two latter softwares and I am only judging from the videos in this thread, so I could be wrong).
Usually, according to my experience, spectral resynthesis performs well with regard to non-tonal sounds, and wavetable resynthesis does not, with granular resynthesis performing half-way between those two other cases (sometimes rather well, as in the case with Loomer Cumulus).

I think Spear also works on Windows? I've just installed it, no idea if it works though!

Edit: Yes it does on Windows 11

The new HALion 7 resynthesis engine looks really promising. Although no MPE, unfortunately.

MPE works well here in Nuendo 12, using Linnstrument.

As far as I know, Steinberg uses a custom implementation and it doesn't work on other DAWs. Only polyphonic pitch bend seems to work.

Almost 2 years later and this, sadly, still has yet to happen.
