Oh, never mind the speculation, two bundles are already here - https://www.image-line.com/uvi/. It says “tailor-made for FL Studio”, but it’s not clear if in fact these are just regular versions of UVI products that anyone can buy or use. (Also no Melda-included bundles either).

My 2 cents: One thing to know about corporations is they love brands. For a capitalist it's better for thier bank account if the corporation "owns" a number of different brands, each targetted to a different market. They call it "market diversification" which means more distinct consumers to exploit. It would be a capitalist move to buy independent companies in order to "own the brand" and add it to their brand portfolio. The other benefit in the eyes of a capitalist is that it's easier to "manage" a brand - if they decide to downsize and lay people off, they can just cut a brand which is seen by other capitalists as better than cutting the "core corporation" - but its just a euphimism. I would vote that UVI and other acquired brands will remain distinct for these reasons. In other words I don't think we'll see UVI products rolled into IL products etc. They may "cross pollinate" brands, such as the UVI deal on IL's site. But it opens a risk that brands might be cut loose if the aggregate of the corporation decides to downsize - usually an independent company will put more effort into surviving, where-as a corporation can use it as a write off against taxes.

It’s the same exact versions that works in all DAW. Just as a bundle.

Yeah, it generally seems to be either one of FL Studio or Live for EDM. Hip-hop/trap etc. seems to skew more towards FL Studio. They're definitely not using Cubase et al in great numbers at any rate.

I was talking about teenagers btw. For the most part, it's kids in the 13-17 bracket that are getting started with FL.
I just know that whenever I take a wrong turn on YouTube and end up at a video with some idiot kid making “beats” with a MIDI pack or playing with a plugin I’ve never heard of with an animated hentai interface, they are ALWAYS using Fruity Loops.

Google Trends data shows that FL Studio gets more searches than Ableton worldwide. Change the drop down menu for regional or national comparisons and you’ll see Ableton is more popular in some English-speaking countries.

Search is clearly not sales, but it’s a pretty good sign of how active a user base is.

These are really good deals if the plugins float your boat.

Just to be that nitpicky guy :D : only Dual Delay X, Sparkverb & Shade are actual plugins. The rest is soundware (aka sampled instruments like Kontakt libraries) that run in UVI Workstation, UVI's sampler.

What’s most interesting to me is interest in all of them has trended downward over time. The only one that has stayed consistent is Bitwig, with no interest at all.

This rubs me the wrong way for some reason, and for the record I'm a BIG fan of all things UVI.

Nope, FL is. There are way more Windows users than Mac users in the world.

Robert Linke was not CEO at NI, but CPO. Not the same thing.
