Is there a way to stop a cymbal ringing as if grasping it with a hand ? The grasp itself being a rhythmic element.

Yes - you can create a dummy drum of any kind and let it "close" the cymbal

That seems great. The 'shape' of that dummy drum would quickly modulate/affect the sound of the cymbal. I wonder if Chandler has made a video about this technique ...MeldaProduction wrote: Tue Feb 07, 2023 5:36 pm Yes - you can create a dummy drum of any kind and let it "close" the cymbal![]()

No idea, but it's just one click on a checkbox

Well, I am not sure what checkbox you're referring to. Would that be the small checkbox at the left of each drum name in the drum set editor ?

Yeah the one in the list of drums, next to each drum.

I explored and it's very creative. The Melda plugin structure offers a huge lot of creative possibilities. The main thing is about making people discover easily those aspects. Thanks to Chandler, a good amount is explained in a very practical manner and ... having comprehensive, practical user guides that also explains the purpose of many features and the way they are made would complement Chandler's excellent videos.MeldaProduction wrote: Tue Feb 14, 2023 10:13 am Yeah the one in the list of drums, next to each drum.
That would be a question of having doc time instead of dev time.

The best docs are rarely written by the developers. There has to be other people writing it and going back and forth to the developers asking "how do I this ? What's the purpose of that feature ? What's the idea behind ?" and then going back writing the docs for/from a user point of view.MeldaProduction wrote: Wed Feb 15, 2023 11:44 am Yeah, seems like there are too many features for the entire youtube![]()
