Currently MPhatik matches the volume of a downmixed mono envelope. I'd like to be able to match Left and Right separately for something I'm doing.

Currently if you're using MPhatik in side chain mode, matching the envelope of an external signal, it ignores any left/right differences. So a signal to the side chain that is left only will result in an output that is not left only, as if the sidechain was mono.

The dynamic processors have the 'link channels' parameter that goes from 0% to 100%, however I'd be happy with a simple on/off toggle for this.

Thanks

Hmmm, why don't you simply use 2 instances in L and R channel modes? Sounds like what you are after, right? I'm afraid it would be quite difficult to add the link here.

Ha ha, I thought someone might suggest that. I'm using phatik in MXXX with 64 bands! So it's already very, very complicated.

I'm splitting both the input and side chain into 64 bands (each) and then using 64 phatiks to envelope match them using 'Matching' mode. It creates the most accurate 'morph' I've ever heard and is like a constantly updating EQ match... it's very useful but was a LOT of work to set up and the melda UI gets VERY slow when adding that many parameters. In use, it's very good, but it's essentially a mono match.

I was hoping a simple toggle would be possible, but if not, no big deal, thank you anyway :)

Sounds like you've created a monster! You've likely already thought about putting 2 of those monsters inside another instance of MXXX and get stereo that way...I hesitate to imagine what the UI response would be for you, though. Anyway, would you be willing to share what you've created? ("No" is an acceptable answer.)

Yeah, I had considered that, but i'd have to rewire all the multiparameters so that L and R are controlled by a single parameter from the parent MXXX. I maaaay try doing this but am pretty busy right now!

As for sharing... well, I have a few pretty insane and unique patches like this that I'm considering turning into products and pitching them to Vojtech... so unfortunately sharing isn't on the cards I'm afraid :D They've been a huge amount of work and were developed/tweaked over years, just need time/energy to finish them up.

Understood. Very interested to see what you might release.
