Q About Triggering Clips

Is there a way in Waveform, or a VST/i I could buy, that will et me trigger a MIDI clip when I send a note in from my controller?

Please don't tell me to use Live, I love Waveform...

I couldn't find a solution inside Waveform - sorry. Wish I had better news.

Would something like reMIDI 2 work for you? You can assign multiple MIDI clips to it's pads, and I believe each pad can be triggered by a note:
