DrivenByMoss: Bitwig extension for many hardware controllers (version 26.6.1)

Anyway, I have a question about how Flexi script works with Faderfox EC4: I have the EC4 set up for bi-directional CC so it can always show the current values. What puzzles me is that the knobs control Bitwig exactly as they should, but the EC4 does not show the correct values. It sort of tries to show the knob values, but feels like it can only update the shown value every two seconds or so. So if I e.g. do a volume fade from 0 to 127, then perhaps it will show one midrange value, say 55, and then when I am at the top of the range, tweak the knob a little back and forth, it will show a high value, say 123.

I am afraid I cannot comment on that since I do not have an EC4.

I think TouchOSC is sending a properly formatted message, but the OSC console in Bitwig is showing a Missing command error even though it also seems to be receiving the command in the correct format. The same happens for /track/bank/ - other messages such as /track/toggleBank work OK.

Appreciate any help you can provide!

The command is "/track/bank/page/+". So, the "+" is part of the path and not a parameter.

I just bought a Maschine MK2 to control Bitwig, after I discovered your great work through your videos.

I followed the installation guide, but I'm stuck on the last step and can't understand why.
I couldn't find help in your videos, nor on your guides, nor here, that's why I'm asking.
I'm bad at config stuff, it's probably nothing, but stuck is stuck..

My config : Windows 10 family (up-to-date), Bitwig 4.4, DrivenByMoss 19.1.0 (also tried 16.4.1 in case..)

What I did :
- place DrivenByMoss.bwextension in %user%/Documents/Bitwig Studio/Extensions/
- load DrivenByMoss.ncm2 from respective resources folder into Maschine through NI Controller Editor
(DrivenByMoss is now the selected template in Maschine, as I can see in MIDI mode (Shift+Control)

- "+Add Controller" into Bitwig software->Settings->Controllers (no auto discovery)

But, I can't find Maschine's MIDI In & Out to be selected there.
Only choices are my other controllers Ins & Outs and a Micro$oft GS Wavetable Synth Out..

Did I miss any step ?

Yes, you need to install the drivers for the Maschine MK2 which normally install as the last step in the installation of the Maschine software.

I didn't install any NI software at all (I didn't realize it would carry the driver), so eager to try out your bridge to Bitwig.

But my 2 cent: ChatGPT is great for quite some things, coding is not one of them. It might help experienced users to get something going but to find the bugs (and dreamed up non existing functions) is much more work than writing this from scratch. Modulating the assigned parameter with teh fader works but it always jumps back to its last position see:


Do I need to configure something else or is that a bug?

Another thing is that jumping into the layer mode of a drum machine doesnt work at all as shown here:

Do you maybe have some automation on the clip or track?

Are you running the latest DrivenByMoss release? There was a bug with entering the drum device.
