Computer had a catastrophic crash and I have a subscription to complete bundle

My computer crashed and is unusable. I put together a new system (I lost thousands of dollars in licenses). I have a subscription to mcomplete bundle and need to know how to change it over to this computer. I'm quite a few payments into the payment agreement and would like to be able to continue using this suite.

Can't find any way to activate on this computer. I guess I'm out the six months payments.
Too bad I rather found this to be useful. I lost all my Waves, IK multimedia, and Native instrumen'ts stuff too Thousands of dollars! I'll have to disable my revolving payments to Melda Productions too

And you had no backups? Really? I am always wondering about how people achieve that. It´s the first rule for anything computer. ALWAYS keep a backup at least from your boot drive, especially with important / paid software installed on it that goes into the thousands. And it costs next to nothing nowadays with for example 10TB on iDrive ($4 in the first year!) https://www.idrive.com/idrive/signup/el ... 9312398800. Those $4 would have saved you all the trouble. Hope it works out better next time for you and you´ll learn from this disaster. Hope you get everything recovered for now.

All you need to do is log-in in one Melda plugin on your new computer. And I think most of those companies will allow you to install their plugins on your new computer as well.Milfwah wrote: Mon Feb 20, 2023 9:35 pm Can't find any way to activate on this computer. How is that situation different from : installing new OS -> installing new DAW -> installing all the plugins used before ?
I installed a new OS (Xubuntu) and made it a point to install from scratch the newer versions of everything including the DAW, Bitwig. I didn't want to carry over previous binaries. At the same I wanted to verify if the online access to binaries was still valid. Everything went well. Login to your Melda account, your complete bundle license will be right there.
Same with IK Multimedia. Login to your account, your licenses will all be there. Please note that IK Multimedia will charge a fee to access the support files needed for ST3/4. The access is granted for a limited period of time. Make backups.
I cannot see where the problem could be. Maybe that's Apple or Windows specific ?

Please tell us at what point activation is failing for you. Are you trying to activate via the online activation feature in the plug-in UI? Or are you trying to activate using a downloaded license file?Milfwah wrote: Mon Feb 20, 2023 9:35 pm Can't find any way to activate on this computer. I guess I'm out the six months payments.

You are not "out" anything, software license-wise. Catastrophizing only makes things worse for an already upsetting situation.
I've built multiple DAW computers from scratch, and they all included my Waves, IK Multimedia, Native Instruments, and MeldaProduction plug-ins.
In the case of IK Multimedia and Native Instruments, just install their product manager program, log in and start downloading. All your licenses are really stored on the companies' websites, they just "activate" on your computers (If you have multiple computers or build a new system). In the case of Meldaproduction, it's even easier, just download the installer, select the plug-ins you own, install them, start your DAW, and put a plug-in on a track. Click on the "activation" button, put in your email address and password and boom, all your licenses are activated.
With Waves, install Waves Central. Then you can request a full license reset and go about installing the plug-ins you own. You can only do this once a year, so be sure your system is stable. An even better safeguard is to keep your Waves licenses on an old low-capacity thumb drive or SD card. I keep mine on a 64Meg(!) SD card, and if I want to work on another system, I just pop the card out and stick it into the other system.
If you've forgotten any of your passwords, go to the websites and request resets, and this time, write them down and keep them in a safe place.
At this point, you will have everything back. Companies today are very understanding about how computer systems can break, and they have procedures in place to help you get back up and running. MeldaProduction is one of the most hassle-free. What happened to you has probably happened to most of us at some point or other.
The upside is that when you rebuild your system from scratch, you can eliminate a bunch of stuff you haven't been using.

Can't say as I feel the need for it! Between mcomplete subscription and IK's Total Studio 3.5MAX and Amplitube-5 full I can't see what else to need ha ha. I do have Helix Native on one of my laptops but cant get my license mamager to transfer it to my current system because I cant remember the password and it is linked to an email account that no longer exists. Their support never answers my emails. But I'm good.
