Can't hear MIDI file

Hi!
I'm experiencing a problem were I try to play a MIDI file using the Micro Drum Sampler (Micro 909) but I can't hear anything. The sampler seems to work fine, though and any other regular audio tracks work too. Any ideas on what the issue might be?
Thanks in advance!

Are you sending on the right midi channel? Maybe the drum sampler requires channel 10?

Could you give more detail, please.
* What is your level of experience? Are you new to waveform? Is this your frist DAW?
* Does your drum sampler track contains more than one plug-in?
* Do you make use of any kind of automation?
* Did you check the output setup of the drum track?
* Did you create a new project containing the drum sampler only and got the same result?

* No, just the MDS.
* Not that I know of.
* It's set as "default audio output". The audio track works fine with that setting.
* Yup.
Thanks!

Where did you get the MIDI file you were trying to play?
Remember, the sampler will activate whenever the appropriate MIDI notes are received, from note C2 through F3. Every C2 received will play the bass drum on the 909 kit. If your recorded MIDI file happens to have notes C1 through G1, for instance, you will get nothing. There are "MIDI Monitor" VST's out there that you can put before the MicroDrum sampler that would show you the events, or try the next paragraph.
Try putting another VST (like 4OSC or a piano) instead of the micro sampler and play. You should get a series of "random" notes being played. Then look at the clip itself, and open up the midi editor. Click on a note, and the information panel at the bottom will tell you what note each one is - presumably a drum track only uses 5 or 6 notes repeatedly.
Then go back to the micro drum sampler, and verify those notes really are defined in the drum sampler. In this sample, I was pointing at a G2, defined as a floor tom, but there IS NO floor tom in the 909 kit, so THAT particular note does nothing.
PS - this isn't a drum track, just hitting random keys on a keyboard. It does play drum sounds; and each time it does the little box lights up. If no sample is at that position, no sound for that note.

A screenshot might help us help you. New users often do unexpected things that don't get described because they don't know they're not right.
Are the notes in the MIDI file triggering any of the MDS pads? Open MDS and play the MIDI file. if the notes are triggering pads they will light up.

Surely there must be consensus by now...

You may have come across a bug that is present in wf in the plural
after loading the project, switch the preset in the sampler to any other, and again to the desired one, and oh, the miracle will work. But you will always have to do this until the developers fix it.

Thanks for the replies guys! I just opened waveform again to try to do what you told me, but now everything just worked fine. I guess it was some kind of bug in the engine.
Thanks anyway!!
