I was trying to use MSoundFactory as sampler for an easy task.

Long story short, if i want to control the pan from midi, i don't find any "pan" from the parameters on Reaper, but just generic name "param1, param2..."
So i don't know how to use midi to shape the panning of samples loaded on MSoundFactory.

I also noticed on other plugins that some values are named, while others not. Not an issue till now, but i don't know if there is anything that can be improved to enhance the love between Melda and Reaper

MSoundFactory has 256 generic (assignable) parameters, followed by loads of named parameters. In Reaper, filter the parameters to show those with the word "Pan2 and you#ll find what you want.

And the names would be the same (or shorter in all other DAWs. Some DAWs only display 16 charcters'

Go to track automation on the track you want to control. It should be to the left of the trim button.

Select and check on pan from the list, your automation lane will appear below the track. Under Track automation in the above graphic.
Then you also need to check the specific one for Melda.

Edit all the points you need to, and you're done.

If using the global pan-control is what you want, the suggested solutions work. It's even quicker if you use (ctrl+)right click on the pan-knob and select midi learn.

If you want to pan the sampler module directly, it's a bit more complicated.

You need to assign it to a multi-parameter. If you use quick-learn, the multi-parameter will get the proper name automatically. However, that name change is only shown in reaper after you set the plugin offline and reactivate it.

I think modulateable parameters have to be announced to the host when the plugin is being loaded which isn't possible for modules that can be added and removed during run-time.

However, it seems like the pan-control in the Sampler can't be assigned to a multi-parameter, so you'll need to add a volume-and panorama module after it.

Thank you very much for your help!!
