Model 72 already blew away all the others for me. But I love programming Minimonsta the most and it does things that none of the others do (particularly Model 72), so I'm just treating it as a much improved version of the original and not as the end-all-be-all of Minimoog emulations.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Thu Mar 02, 2023 12:27 am Sounds like there’s been improvements over the original so that’s good. I haven’t compared to v1. Just to the other 4 or 5 Minimoog vsts I have. On the fence about upgrading. It’s not bad and cheap upgrade price, but I just think others are better.

Boo yah! The demo made it straight into one of my new songs tonight. Couldn't save the patch, though. I get a message that says Invalid Save Location!
Update: I found it. I had to press Ctrl + Save to overwrite the patch. (Yeah. New one on me).

The X-LFO can run free. Just push X-LFO sync slider all the way up to 'off'.Vortifex wrote: Wed Mar 01, 2023 11:45 pmNo, the actual PWM. Select one of the square/pulse waves on OSC1 and you can modulate the pulse width. Wasn't a big deal or anything, just wondered really.ELEX wrote: Wed Mar 01, 2023 10:01 pmDo you mean the sawtooth/inverted sawtooth faux PWM ? If it resets, hitting a note repeatedly would have each attack sound the same, but I don't hear that happening in any mode. Looking at a scope, while in regular mono mode, also shows phase creeping along as expected too.Vortifex wrote: Wed Mar 01, 2023 9:06 am Btw, is it possible to get freerunning PWM when not playing in legato mode? I can't find a way to stop it resetting with each keypress.

Great price from JRR Shop. I bought it yesterday.
Hmmmm, I expected much better as I didn't demo it but watched their full tutorial. I thought it is going to be a big hit because thought on similar lever with Oddity 3 and SEM, but no. The filter is not good. It is not very bad, but not good. It has a nice unison that can do big sounds, but that's not enough for me. If there was a demo on their website, I would demo it and then not buying it. I already have the Legend, Monark and Mini V. If I want a big unison sound, I can use a synth like PhasePlant.
They should improve the sound a lot not a little! Disappointing in the end. I don't think I would use it like I'm using SEM and Oddity

I also noticed that mm2 does some kind of internal hard clipping ( no clipping in daw whatsoever) .
The difference is obvious wih monark
Three osc's , matcheded volume output and a decaying filter .
Monark ( first example ) versus MM2 .

turn the "Edit Mode" button rightwise to CC
then left of the keyboard the spectral-faders change to

one for mouse mode and the other for...tadta!---UI size
change it to "large", close the imposcar window, reopen it and enjoy

I've got to hand it to Gforce, they're really starting to listen to their customers and finally polishing up their plugin GUI's to match their elite-tier developer competitors.
I made several QoL update requests to Gforce previously and in their latest updates, they appear to have listened to what some customers like myself have been asking for. GForce seem to have realised that their User Interfaces really ought to match the elite-level sound quality of their synth plugins.
It appears now, that future Gforce updates will include: Scaleable GUIs, Professional preset menu systems, User-definable preset file locations, lockable pitch bend settings, etc. Basically, some great and even minor finishing touches, that together can really elevate user experiences while using them.
For me personally, such additions elevates GForce's plugins to the same professional level as u-he, whose plugins I regard with the utmost respect. Since, when it came to purely the audio quality side of things, there was never any doubt, Gforce were already at the top of the game. But now, their polished User Interfaces are finally catching up to that same level.
I really hope impOSCar is next on the list, to get this same "piece de resistance" treatment.
Bravo, Gforce, bravo!

This explains what I'm hearing, then. It often sounds slightly distorted. I don't understand these choices....gentleclockdivider wrote: Thu Mar 02, 2023 12:31 pm I also noticed that mm2 does some kind of internal hard clipping ( no clipping in daw whatsoever) .

Hi! I own minimonsta1 and just tried to buy v2.
I add Minimonsta v2 to the basket, but I don't receive that cool upgrade price written in their email(25 GBP ex VAT).
Anyone else xperienced this?
Anyway, I've just submitted a ticket about this.

Thanks much! Very helpful, though it could still be a tad larger, this is a big step in the right direction.muki wrote: Thu Mar 02, 2023 3:32 pmyou can resize itdlandis wrote: Thu Mar 02, 2023 6:31 am Oh yeah, definitely this. I didn't experience this, but check to make sure that you're really signed in (maybe this is a stupid comment, so forgive me please if you've done this already.)dune_rave wrote: Thu Mar 02, 2023 9:03 pm Hi! I own minimonsta1 and just tried to buy v2.
