When played back (spacebar on DAW) Mdrummer plays intro then the beat, not the beat immediately

Hello
I have a (pretty simple) problem hopefully. If i place the midi in my daw to play once of the beats from mdrummer, and I press spacebar to start the playback, mdrummer plays the 2 bars of the beat then plays a break and continues to play the beat. When it loops back it does the same thing. Even if i play it from the middle of the midi clip it has the same behaviour. This makes it hard to work with in midi as the playback isn't consistent. I have to bounce it to audio, which makes editing drums hard. How could i set it to play the midi command immediately? Thanks!

I'm quite confused from the description really. I'd suggest making sure you are using the newest version and then record a short screen video, and send it to info@meldaproduction.com

I know this is an old thread but I am having this same problem. I just purchased mdrummer and have spent the afternoon trying to get it to work in logic. I am using midi to trigger beats, but after it correctly plays a couple bars of the loop, it switches to a fill and plays that instead. This happens each time I try to use midi to trigger the beat.
What I can see happening in the rhythm editor is that the key it thinks it is reading switches to something else completely and seemingly random. I am tearing my hair out here! The same effect happens if I try to trigger the loop from my midi keyboard. It plays two bars and then switches to a fill.
Is mdrummer just incompatible with logic midi? If so, what a waste of my money!

Could you perhaps create a screen video? It should never play something you don't ask it too.

There is a check box for automatic fills somewhere. I recall tearing my hair out with this too when I started using MDrummer. There are other similar automation boxes checked as default too, you might want to uncheck. One had something to do with sequencer behaviour, one randomized symbals etc...
These days I just always open up previous project and modify from there to avoid initial set up for new projects. So I don't remember exactly everything what I had to do to make sure it won't automatically add in and play stuff I don't want it to.
Really these things should be unchecked by default...

Also the index to pick the loop from velocity range is finicky and needs to be set pretty close to avoid MDrummer picking the wrong loop. I try to keep loops per each velocity range at minimum. At least around 4 per rangr still works consistently.
