Is Waveform 12 stable on Windows?

I like the product but the frequency of crashes and freezes I was experiencing with previous versions forced me to put it to bed until stability improves. I realize that Mac is the preferred platform for Tracktion but I like to use Surface devices for music production and was hoping the overall stability had improved by now.

Hi! Version 11 is more stable than version 12. At the moment, version 12 is working. It works, if you do not pay attention to many little things. Not many crashes. I speak as a user of 11 pro and 12 pro.
Wait for April, the developers promise to fix bugs for NAMM 2023, which will be held on 04/13-15/2023.

I've been using v12 for about a year, and had only one crash that I couldn't explain. It's very stable.

I do, however, have other issues with it, but stability is very good.
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.

Any stability issues with the software, for me, have to do with my old PC. The software is a CPU hog at times, and that again is mostly my fault, as I typically just add plugins to each individual track, rather than let them feed off of one instance of a plugin on a single track. But the software itself is delightfully efficient, if not unnecessarily complicated at times (its interface).

Stable isn't just a function of the software, it also depends on your OS, your system specs, your drivers, and the plugins that you want to use. Every version and every update has people saying it works better and others saying it's worse.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

12 Pro on Windows 11 and a good pc is the most stable tracktion version I've had. (I skipped a few versions BTW)

If you use Racks, there is a pretty good chance Waveform 12 will crash... Unfortunately, it is the only way to use Multi-out audio plugins... :-(

I don't have such a problem. Everything from the rack and works stably, even if there are 10+ heavy plugins.

It never crashes on my Asus laptop with Windows 10.

I don't have any serious issues. I heard people saying, when plugin sandboxing is turend on, Waveform crashes more often. I don't use the feature, so I'm happy (but cannot oprove it's true ;-) )
Waveform 12 Pro, Cubase Pro 13, Windows 11, i7-13700H

Crashes are extremely rare on my laptop. I, too, found it more stable with the sandboxing turned off.
