2 different export problems

Ok, I'm hoping this is something I'm doing wrong...
Basic info
- Athalon PC
- Tracktion 1.6x
- All inputs record to 24bit aiff
Scenario 1
I recorded drums on 4 tracks, mixed and rendered successfully. I then cut a clip/loop and exported it to the project directory. I created a new edit in the project and imported the clip. I matched tempo as close as possible and then alt-drag'd slightly to fall on the measure boundry. I then looped that clip 8x and recorded 2 other parts. When I export at either 16 or 24 bit, I get a faster and higher pitched version of the song.
NB: I was running SIR on the drum track.
Scenario 2
This one is worse. I recorded a 2 hour and 15 minute rehersal on 7 tracks and tried to both render and export the entire session. Both finished after ~15 minutes without creating a file. On the export I noticed a help bubble/message indicating there was no audio in the export. I did not have any tracks selected which in the past has exported the entire tune.
The only plugin was the MDA limiter on the mains.
In both cases I disabled most of the ASIO inputs on my audio card to reduce CPU load after the recording. The system was restarted between these sessions.
Please help.

1: What sample rate are you exporting at, & how are you listening to the result? could your final mixes simply be playing at the wrong samplerate?
Also, is there any reason why you record AIFF files? Maybe try WAVs instead..?
2: Not sure.. did you have any clips selected, or the "only render marked region" option ticked..?

1) I've tried exporting at every combination of 44/48k and 16/24 bit and then listen via iTunes (PC). It definitely has the feel of a samplerate problem but this is the same process I've been using successfully.
I did run into a bug (posted previously) with stretched (alt+drag) clips returning to their original length after "disabling looping". Maybe this is related? Perhaps T gets confused when modifying samplerate of clips; although it plays correctly within T.
2) I didn't have any clips selected or the only render marked region ticked. Maybe the length (2 hours 15 minutes) of the clips? I'll try exporting WAV tonight as well as exporting smaller sections.
I've been using AIFF since it has better support from my Mac apps.

Hi!
I've been experiencing a similar problem. I recorded 73 minutes of a play with Tracktion, through a mic-> mixer-> Indigo I/O -> Tracktion.
Everything sounds fine whilst played back in the edit. I saved the whole edit when I was done as an archive. Then I decided it'd be a good idea to render it, as a colleague wanted to add some fx. So I rendered it, yet the resulting *.WAV file sounded awful, as if everything was pitched down and running at quarter speed. So I listened to the single WAV clips via WinAmp and Foobar2000, same thing.
What went wrong? I recorded everything using the default sample rate setting etc.
My last chance would be to record the whole stuff to a tape deck when running in Tracktion.......

I have additional info on my export problems. Last night, I exported the 2h 15m song to wav format, but first selected all tracks.
The good news: I actually got a file at 16 bit 44k.
The bad news: The file was fast (I did not have the chipmunk option selected).
I did notice in the project view, the file type for all audio files was listed as wav even though they were aiff. Also, when I made an export of the project as "all files in a directory", then loaded the files into an empty nuendo project, they were nothing but extremely loud white noise. NB: My writing partner was there and indicated he has had similar export problems with T (on OS X) and had to "massage" the files with Bias.
This is starting to smell of an aiff problem. Maybe I should fedex a T archive of the project to Mackie support? I'd like to get this one resolved as I definitely prefer T to Nuendo.

This isn't a solution, but...
I deleted and reinstalled from the minimal distro and all my (problematic) tracks sounded fast from within T. This isn't what was happening before; they were only fast on export. The good news is that any new recordings export fine.
So then, I realized that the minimal install doesn't even have Final Mix. I've grown to love this plugin so I installed the full install over the existing one. Poof! All the tracks sounded fine but now export fast. Argghh!
Hmm... next step. Copy out the plugins and uninstall, then reinstall the minimal distro. Voila! I now have all the plugins and new recordings export correctly.
Now the bad news. I've lost about 8 hours of recordings over a 2 week period and about 16 hours debugging this problem.

It turns out I had bad RAM. I bought a few sticks of some fancy memory and everything is now working as expected... unfortunately the old tracks are still flaky.
