Had you posted a meme that was related, perhaps more so. Do better. :D

Hi, for anyone with an Arturia keylab essential using Reason 12, which control surface do you use? There doesn't appear to be an exact match, just some similar Arturia keyboard options. But they aren't 100%, for example, my "Metro" key on the Arturia keylab is mapped to Reason's loop control, and other similar issues.
Also just checking on this other issue -- by default no Arturia keyboard knobs do anything on Arturia virtual instruments (when added as a VST in the Reason rack), compared to using the Arturia instruments in standalone where knobs are already mapped. I know I can do midi learn in Reason, but wondering if I have some setting wrong.

Well, here we are 18 months later - and we can still buy a perpetual license. Woohoo! 8) :tu:

I love the new features in the latest beta (12.5.2d35) ... just have to keep them in secret :D

Don’t feel so special, beta is open to everyone 😉
No secret that the latest beta still doesn’t support M1 CPU natively 😞

I would call them 'fixes' not features!

They are just so sloooooooooooow - they are still fixing VST3 stuff so M1 support will probably come after that's done and I bet that will take quite a while too - and only then maybe we will see some actual DAW-improvements - years after R12 was released without anything in regards to that.

And I'd be keen to see ARA2 support, but even if they decided to add it, that would mean development would basically come to a further halt for another year or two.

I think all the major developers seemed to have slowed down (maybe with the exception of Arturia who always seem to be updating and releasing new stuff)

This isn't unique. Many are still waiting for M1 support in Roland Cloud for VST - literally none of the plugins work without using Rosetta still.

But I agree about standalone DAW stuff - really wish they'd focus on that and push features forward specifically for the DAW-end.

Instead of always blaming the developers, you Mac guys should perhaps think a little bit about why you still support an OS which breaks compatibility with nearly every update... from time to time bringing in new CPU´s to break compatibility completely and to make it not too boring...

You are whining 6 month to a year about developers giving a shit to solve your selfmade problems just to go ahead to buy the next Mac...

The big question is who is really silly... you or the 3rd party devs???
On top of that you expect from the devs to always fix compatibility issues for the same money the people pay who don´t cause these issues... that´s not very fair...

I would wish Mac guys would have to pay an extra fee for every update developers have to make to fix comapitibility issues Apple causes over and over and over again...
Extra work... extra costs... it´s actually quite easy!
Perhaps you wake up then...

Reason hasn't even started working on the M1 thing yet so their slowness can't be blamed on Mac users.

It's true that development across all DAWs seems to have gotten slower lately. Very little updates.

One major exception being Reaper. Damn those guys are on fire lately!
