Hey Dan, do you know if they're still working on the issue with the opsix real-time oscilloscope displays being off-center/not visible? I reported it ages ago and it's still happening in the latest build.

Hi guys!

I own a Korg Kronos 2 and the Wavestate Native VST. I was wondering if it's possible to use the Kronos' joystick to control the vector joystick of Wavestate Native? Sorry if this has been asked before; I did search on the forums but could not find any info on that.

BTW I'm not talking about the spring-loaded joystick to the left of the keyboard, I'm talking about the other joystick which looks pretty darn close to the one on the Wavestate hardware synth:

Hi, just ran into an issue with wavestate native with looping in Bitwig. Put in a 1 bar loop with a single sustained note (mine ends just short of the measure so it’s not legato). Hit play and after 22 measures wavestate goes silent for 2 bars then gets into a consistent pattern of playing for 20 bars and resting for 2.
  • I’ve tried different patches and they all behave the same.
  • I’ve put it into a group with Polysynth and wavestate goes silent while polysynth keeps playing so it’s not a Bitwig sequencer issue.
  • I tried two bar loops with one and two notes and it still goes silent after 22 (or 20) measures (not loops)
  • Neither modwave nor opsix exhibit this behavior.
  • It is tempo-sensitive. My initial test was @ 110 but when I went to 140 the pattern was 12/2.
  • Doesn’t matter if it’s looping in the clip launcher or arranger.
  • Also happens with long sustained notes in long patterns of 24+ bars, the audio drops out then comes back.
A couple of clues I have are:
  • From the clip launcher, wavestate doesn’t exhibit this behavior if I turn the arranger’s looping off.
  • If I leave looping on and change the punch out past bar 24 then wavestate won’t go silent until it loops.
If anyone has a few minutes to give it a spin I’d love to hear if it works or not for you.

If it matters: MacBook Pro M1 Max, Ventura 13.1, Bitwig 4.4.6, wavestate native 1.1.1

Thanks for the report. Does this happen with all sounds, or just with a specific sound?

Should be possible. From memory of using my old Wavestation as a controller, the joystick was CC 16 & 17 and it transmitted as well as received. Don't see why a Kronos (or even Wavestation) wouldn't directly control Wavestate native joystick. I have a hw Wavestate as well as the native, but TBH I haven't even tried linking them up. Try it - should work I reckon. You can check if the Kronos transmits joystick data by checking your DAW MIDI input meter (if it has one - I use Cubase and it has one on the main screen bottom right). Just twiddle your joystick and if it triggers the MIDI meter then you're good to go.

Here’s a handful of presets that I went through. For this test I just set the bpm at 180 and the arps die after just a few bars. The key is to have looping turned on (loop icon between the SPP and punch in/out).

Goes Silent
- Shopping Disco Arp
- Dbl Unpredictable Arp
- Acid Bath
- Vectoring Arp

In between (Still produces sound but patch character changes)
- Double Unpredictability
- Fairy Bouncer
- Backtalk
- Game On in Gamelan
- Dream State Attained

Works
- 10 Pads on Sample Knob
- Unbearable Tension
- Vega Star Surfer
- A Peaceful Day
- Ancient Sunlight
- Relatively Serene

Appreciate the updates but Korg could use a '1 click' download and install now they have so many instruments! Manually unzipping and installing each one is a PITA.
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

It sounds like Korg Software Pass would do what you want. I didn't even know there was a direct link to a standalone opsix installer.

I noticed something weird with Wavestate and Modwave and OPSiX in Cubase 12 with intel 13th gen.

The problem shows when you load a instance of one of them and play a few notes and wait a few seconds and the cpu usage slowly goes up to berzerk mode usage and only disabling the effects in them bring it almost back to normal again.

They work perfectly fine in all other daws but not in Cubase with the 13 gen.

It works Normal in Cubase with my Ryzen 7 5700X and don't show this problem which makes me believe it is some sort of Denormal problem with these Vst's since the 5700X Goes to max 3990mhz when using heavy vst's and the 13th gen Intel goes upto 4500 mhz and Denormal problems tend to show up when the Mhz Goes over 4000.

I also tried to disable the E-Cores on the Intel to see if they where the problem but the same thing happened so those where not the problem.

Are you sure of that? On my Mac, the Software Pass downloads and installs all the plugins in just one click... Why is it not working on your system?
