MFreeformEqualizer IR export latency

I'm having a strange issue which is probably user error. Whenever I export an eq curve to IR, it adds approximately 200 milliseconds of latency to the impulse. I know I can edit the wav file and just chop off the beginning, but surely there is a better way to export and use an IR. What am I missing?

You got me a little curious so I did a test and you're right. I then engaged Minimum Phase, and it seems those extra 200 milliseconds aren't there anymore.

Maybe ir generation doesn't have delay compensation, or take into account latency.

Personally I really think IRs should be edited by hand anyway so don't think this is an issue, but I may be in the minority here.

I tested at different latency settings and it didn't change the results.

Thanks for all the replies. It seems like I'm actually not doing anything wrong. Editing the IR's isn't a big deal. I'm just a little surprised by the behavior.

Are you using the minimum phase mode? There should be no latency there.
BUT if not, you are creating a linear phase filter, which certainly does have the peak in the middle, so there's likely to be silence (or almost silence - important but invisible) in the beginning.

So: Use minimum phase mode

Hi All. Minimum Phase option used to work but now it doesn't any more. v15.01 in windows.

Has something changed or a bug been introduced.

It used to remove the delay but the delay is now back.

Any help greatly appreciated.
