Liking the DMAX Audio mastering plugin bundle, discontinued and unsupported,
but now free. I like the sound of the limiters
anyway. :tu:

I don't know if anyone has posted this. I searched this forum & didn't find any hits. I tried this yesterday because I've been reading it's a free alternative to Soothe. I haven't used Soothe but I did try this and the effect is very good with minimal CPU hit. I think it does more high frequency taming/compression with no artifacts. I liked it.
Agree this dev should have more attention. After Vastaus they released Temper which also focused on the high end, but sadly it seems to have disappeared/been discontinued.
Got a mail from the developer regarding Temper.
It has been "unreleased" for some further work... It is still in the works, and pretty much complete, and will come out at some point in time. Unfortunately no schedule yet.
A superb plugin btw. - based on concepts around hysteresis, working on the high end frequencies. Basically a pro-version of Vastaus with more bells and whistles.
The art of knowing is knowing what to ignore.

I'm on Windows 11 and installed the older version of CM effects, but two of them seem to upset my audio software. Majority installed, no problem. Ran plugin scanner, they show up. I did it incrementally because there were so many. At one point I install and FL just fried when I ran plugin scanner. I got an exception error and a crash that didn't want to end. When it righted itself, got the same after running plugin scanner, but I can't really see which plug is causing the issue. But I did, when I opened up Audacity. Got the same thing, exception error, but no crash. Audacity did put up this box telling me the plugs causing the issue. Litote (a granulizer) and Wolfram (multi fx). Anyone else have this issue?.

So I took those 2 out and it has stopped. I think it was Wolfram. Shame. I really liked that software.

Whenever I downloaded Wolfram as part of the CM pack, Comodo antivirus always quarantined it as a trojan/virus.

It has this anti reverse engineering software as part of it. There were a lot of complaints on a STEAM forum about my exact issue. That's online gaming. Avast didn't worry about it, but FL Plugin Manager sure didn't like it.

Clean Machine, by Amalgamated Signals, is a dynamics controller with features of both a saturator and a compressor. It has timing controls like a compressor, but it applies a continuous gain reduction curve like a saturator.

Pulsar Smasher is free for a limited time. One of my favourite 1176 clones:

It usually is a commercial plugin.
