'Close this edit' loses the tracks.

I right clicked the edit tab and selected 'close this edit'. When reopening the edit the tracks were missing. On the Projects tab the Recorded Audio still lists the tracks. There is nothing in the user manual about the 'close this edit' choice, I only used it because I couldn't see the little x. Is this a bug? Can I get the tracks back?
Update: I see that that selection doesn't ask you to save, like the 'x' does.

You're correct that "Close this edit" via right-click on the Edit tab will close without giving you the option to save changes or cancel. I'm not sure if it's a bug, but it's definitely something that can lead to a nasty surprise. Save often.

You might want to consider changing your post to more accurately reflect the problem. For one thing, you say 'tracks' when you mean 'audio clips/files' and also the problem is that no changes are saved in the Edit, not just 'tracks'.

You can't get anything back, as far as I know. Un-saved changes probably aren't saved anywhere. I haven't really used the auto backups, so I might be wrong about that.

But since it seems as though the biggest problem is audio clips and the audio files are still in the Project, you should be able to re-add them to tracks and get at least part way there.
