There will be no T2. Maybe a little attempt, but this attempt at getting one man to sustain such an endeavour is not viable.
Great idea, great design, bad wisdom.

April 1st joke?! If T2 isnt out before April 05 I'd be very surpised. And furious.

Even if there was no T2 tho, I'd still use T1. I'm actually rendering a beat as I type this. :band2:

T1 FOR LIFE (until T2)

While I thank you for your optimism, I'll politely disagree.

I guess you haven't seen the posts by Mackie (Beno) recently? If you had you'd realise

A: T2 is quite close

B: It's only an update, go and make music!

boohoo...hoo...
...just a sequencer indeed.
oh, i haven't lost my perspective, but, while I'm actually principally a Logic7 user, (i make a living at this after all), I REALLY liked the idea of using a solid - SYNCABLE - Traktion on my PC or My other Mac...
I was quite early in buying my copy of one, and will really enjoy it if T2 comes to be all these things...but when you see the speed with which huge and seriously stable changes can be made when there's a serious infrastructure behind it, one kind of has to feel a bit sorry for such a good design as 'T' not to benefit from that as well to some extent at least.
These things are decisions, developers and distributors', one way or the other.
I won't give up on it, but this is getting a lot of the initial enthusiastic followers to leave the platform, and as most of them are hobbyists and have no real use for several daws, mmh...shame.

i don't see where you are coming from with this... :?

For hobbyists, why change sequencers? T is a steal at the price, where logic, or cubase are getting out of what I would consider hobbyist money and into semi-pro.

T2 is going to cost more, we already know this, but assuming the much touted $140-$150 mark, T2 will still be a crap load cheaper than the majority of alternative boxed sequencers. Its' primary competition will be FLStudio, Reason, Project5, and the crippleware versions of Cubase. In that market, it is the only non-crippled (albeit not fully featured), 4-track monkey friendly sequencer that can support third party plugs.

In fact Tracktion's main competition comes from the non-boxware sequencers suchj as podium and eXT, but the fact that Tracktion will be in a pretty box in GuitarCenter, or bundled with Mackie Hardware such as Spike, will pretty much give it the edge over them.
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!

I highly doubt there's a mass exodus away from Tracktion, especially to bloatware like Cubase. I mean.. we don't even SEE a small fraction of the T users on here. We're a wee wee little community of regulars here.

The rest of the T owners are out there making music and not really thinking much about updates.

If they just added MIDICLOCK SYNC...

Dam, I would move away from Cubase in a second flat and wouldn't even turn away to look goodbye!!

So, user friendly..!!

I reckn' alot of others would to!!! Ive pretty much tried everything including LIVE and I love Tracktion the most!!!

I wouldn't be surprised if they have a grand master plan to bundle T3 with an integrated Audio and Hardware controller interface!!!

Mmmmmmm....errrrr

Everyone else does updates to be more like Tracktion, so Tracktion should have more updates.. to be more like Tracktion. This is not logical captain.

I don't like the way the set back mac users, they get few updates and bugfixes- final mix for example is not yet included in the mac version.

Will T2 support altivec and dual processor?

But i still think it's a great program tho!

You shouldnt' need a dual processor the beauty of tracktion is that its so low on resources and just WORKS..!!

Sell your dual, get an AMD and live forever HAPPY!!
