MIDI chord inversions?

Obviously, I've done something dumb...again.
Re-watched a video covering the process, as I have some time to finally dive into more MIDI composing. Pretty straightforward, and when first choosing a chord and shift + up/down on the chord, it would just invert the chord -- cool great. Then further into the process (more than likely I accidentally clicked or did something), it's now inverting multiple chords at once within the MIDI clip. Any ideas as to what I must have done to trigger that issue, and or how to undo this?
Thanks

It inverts all notes within the same chord in the chord clip. Maybe you have extended the chord clip without adding more chords to it? Then the existing chords will repeat. If there is a + sign somewhere in the chord clip, then that's your problem.

Thank you. Will check it out. This is a project I use just for experimenting with the software. This progression was just a simple C, D to G progression in 4/4. So, the chords were different.Stuttaton wrote: Sat Apr 01, 2023 1:36 pm It inverts all notes within the same chord in the chord clip. Where would the + symbol be located on the clip? I'm not noticing it.

If you have entered one bar each with C, D and G, and the chord clip is longer than three bars, the + symbol will appear in the chord clip at bar four.

Each clip is four measures long, which should equal one bar. That's kinda one of the things confusing to me when it comes to this software. It seems to count measures as bars, which is not correct labeling with regard to western music theory.Stuttaton wrote: Sun Apr 02, 2023 10:03 am If you have entered one bar each with C, D and G, and the chord clip is longer than three bars, the + symbol will appear in the chord clip at bar four.

I just did a quick bit of searching and I can't find anything that says bars and measures are different things. Can you point me to a resource that describes how the two are different?irpacynot wrote: Mon Apr 03, 2023 8:27 am It seems to count measures as bars, which is not correct labeling with regard to western music theory.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

In sheet music typography, the bar is the vertical height and the measure is the width... outside of typography there's no difference. Bar = measure.
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.
