Waveform switches out of full-screen on Windows when a plugin is selected/focused

If Waveform is in full-screen view mode, and a plug-in is loaded on a track, clicking that plugin to bring up the interface causes Waveform to immediately switch to windowed mode as the focus is shifted to the plugin interface. Kinda strange behavior and frustrating especially when working with multiple displays. Is there any way to change this behavior? I don't think it is a problem on Mac OS.

I'm not experiencing anything like this. What version? What platform?
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.

Is it? So there's nothing I can do?

This has never happened to me.

Nor I--and am using Windows 11 with Waveform 12, and previously Windows 10 with Waveform 9, 10, and 11.

This could be a Windows issue, but I'm guessing it's not happening in any other application.

So then I'm wondering what's telling Waveform to switch to a window rather than full screen. Anyone aware of any graphics options in Settings that assigns window positions? I know you can for plugins...maybe that's triggering it?

I figured it out. It only happens when plugin sandboxing is enabled.

Fascinating...are you using Waveform 11.5? I'm wondering if upgrading to that version will help.

I've had projects where the only way to get it to work was with sanboxing on... and other projects would only work with sandboxing off. That's unrelated, I know, but sandboxing in v11 was a little strange.

I'm on 11.5.18

Good--that was a solid version.

Does it happen on every project? Just certain plugins?

Any plugin that isn't included with Waveform itself. Even Tracktion's own software - it happens with Collective, Biotek, F'em, Retromod, anything.

Your "plugin scan directories" list probably doesn't include some locations where these plugins were installed previously. Default behavior is to scan these each time you startup.
