Not sure what you mean, Z1 is not a romplerTobi MM wrote: Thu Apr 06, 2023 11:43 am No N5/364, no buy again.
Z1 and Radias are nice, but their Legacy are the 90s-Romplers. And no, Triton CAN'T replace it.

Full Bucket Music also has FB-9999, a sonically perfect DW-8000 and DW-6000 emulation.Korg Supporter wrote: Thu Apr 06, 2023 1:24 pm Give us an enhanced DSS-1/DW8000 emulation, dammit! RADIAS would be nice too.

That's what i said. Korgs Legacy are their 90-Romplers; X5, N5, N364. Stuff bands carry around stages til now.
Collection lacks them, so, personally, before Z1 (cool though), i want N364.

It's not a perfect emulation of either of the two machines tho.Watchful wrote: Thu Apr 06, 2023 3:24 pmFull Bucket Music also has FB-9999, a sonically perfect DW-8000 and DW-6000 emulation.Korg Supporter wrote: Thu Apr 06, 2023 1:24 pm Give us an enhanced DSS-1/DW8000 emulation, dammit! N364 doesn't really offer that much vs M1, a couple of features and different ROM, that's all. In fact M1 is even better since they added an actual resonant filter to it, and improved polyphony and added two insert FX per combi part, stuff N364 can only dream about...Tobi MM wrote: Thu Apr 06, 2023 3:57 pmCollection lacks them, so, personally, before Z1 (cool though), i want N364.
Z1 is a lot more exciting than N364, even with Prophecy already being in the collection (there are some structural differences between the two, giving enough merit for both to exist).

Is the Korg Collection? The M1 has reworked filters. The Mono/Poly and Polysix are not exact, either, in functionality. But all are extremely close.EvilDragon wrote: Thu Apr 06, 2023 3:59 pmIt's not a perfect emulation of either of the two machines tho.Watchful wrote: Thu Apr 06, 2023 3:24 pm Full Bucket Music also has FB-9999, a sonically perfect DW-8000 and DW-6000 emulation.

It's a quirky and fun synth used in a lot of low-budget synthpop, italo disco etc. back in the day. I mean we already have every "dream synth" imaginable so I tend to find those simpler, quirkier emulations more fun. Besides, it makes sense to have in a Korg Legacy Collection since it's very much part of Korg's legacy even if it might not have been their proudest moment.DrGonzo wrote: Thu Apr 06, 2023 11:47 amNot trolling you here, but why the Poly800? My only memory of that was back in the 90s when I used a mk2 I think and all I remember what how weak I felt it sounded. But I was an unpolished snotty brat back then who knew nothing about anythingAdvancedFollower wrote: Thu Apr 06, 2023 7:24 am Personally I'm hoping for a Poly-800 and Radias in the next release.![]()
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

I would like an emulation of the Poly-800... IF I owned one in the past. But since I haven't... nah!AdvancedFollower wrote: Thu Apr 06, 2023 7:27 pm It's a quirky and fun synth used in a lot of low-budget synthpop, italo disco etc. back in the day. M1 filters are not reworked, they have an additional mode. If you disable the resonance you get the same filter as on the actual M1.Watchful wrote: Thu Apr 06, 2023 4:18 pmIs the Korg Collection? BTW, the M1 and Wavestation got bumped to v2.4.1 (M1) and v2.4.2 (WS) by KORG a few days ago.

Korg is a bit like Nintendo, they follow the main stream but does so in their own way which is something I absolutely adore. Their old digital/analog hybrids all have very interesting tones. One of the things of that era I always wanted was their DSS sampler. So yeah, I can understand the value of a Poly 800. It would be so awesome if Korg made it possible to load own waveforms into their expansion cards.EvilDragon wrote: Thu Apr 06, 2023 9:03 pmM1 filters are not reworked, they have an additional mode. This Fury800 and the DW6000/8000 (FB7999) are really good.Watchful wrote: Thu Apr 06, 2023 12:31 pm Full Bucket Music has a very authentic Poly 800.... for donation or free depending on your circumstances. Björn has done a great job filling in the gaps Korg has left.
I was always skipping them because, quite frankly, the other synths on the site are very mediocre (to me) but these two are great. Made some cool patches with them, enable chord mem and instant detroit
