Interesting... and looks like I might regret shelling out for RipX.

Just jumped onto the Tracktion Waveform bandwagon a few months ago and I must say I really enjoy working with this DAW. I haven’t put it thru all the paces as I do with studio one yet, but I enjoy opening it up and having fun!

The normal way for Tracktion is for new features and software to be announced at the NAMM show (which is usually in late January) and the release date happens within a month or two. A bit of a guessing/hoping game. They probably don't know yet.avid_d wrote: Thu Apr 13, 2023 8:28 am I can find no indication as to when these updates become available.

I'd rather have the paid Waveform 13 with a lot of features I've been waiting for
But nice load of new features for a free .5 version...

That would be true for a new version release, because a lot has to happen on the back-end of the website for a new product with upgrade options, but I don't think a .5 update would be more complicated than any other incremental update if it's already been beta tested.jabe wrote: Thu Apr 13, 2023 11:10 amThe normal way for Tracktion is for new features and software to be announced at the NAMM show (which is usually in late January) and the release date happens within a month or two. This looks great! Every year I look forward to the new release. Better video is a big plus for media composers. Wonder if there is an update to articulation handling or automation? I am a huge fan of the overall tracktion waveform approach. Very user friendly.

Waveform is the most user friendly DAW I've been working with. You mentioned the automation. It was huge surprise for me, it's not possible to change the tempo of the song without the automation being messed up.

Let's hope so!cjayconrod wrote: Thu Apr 13, 2023 10:56 pm That would be true for a new version release, because a lot has to happen on the back-end of the website for a new product with upgrade options, but I don't think a .5 update would be more complicated than any other incremental update if it's already been beta tested.
From the video I've just posted, they are hoping to release 12.5 by the end of the month (April).
Fingers crossed.
