I'm on Mac 13.3.1. I just redownloaded the latest PatchWork installer and reinstalled. Still, if I open PatchWork Stand Alone, VST or VST3 in Ableton Live 11 or Plugin Doctor, it crashes with some sort of memory error. Any help? :) I'm not sure what other info to include.

Hi,

Thanks for the heads up. Can you maybe send us a copy of the error? Do you have any third party plug-in loaded when launching the plug-in? Do you maybe have a default user preset with third party plug-ins in there?

Post

I bet I do have 3rd party plug-ins in the default user preset! Didn't think of that. :) Is there a way I can reset the default and relaunch?

Post

Yes, just delete the Default.preset file from the presets folder root (located in your documents).

Thank you so much. That did the trick! I'll remember that for next time! :)

Great! There was probably an incompatible plug-in in there!

Oddly enough, it is FabFilter Pro-Q 3 VST3 version 3.22. I just updated a day before.. Wasn't expecting anything FabFilter to cause me trouble! :) Pro-Q 3 VST 3.22 works fine though - that's the updated one as well. Must be something in the VST3. Thanks again for the assistance!

Post

After pulling FabFilter Pro-Q 3 and Saturn 2 from a backup from last week, everything is working - even my Default preset from before. Just noting that so that anyone else who might have trouble knows what to try. :)

Post

Thanks for the heads up. Have you reported back to Fab Filter so that they can have a look?

Post

Hi,

This is and old post, but PW is crashing in M1 with VST3 Fabfilter plugins. It does not happen with AU.

Thanks for the heads up. A new preview that should fix this issue has been uploaded today! Can you please tell us if it fixes the problem for you too?
