Reaktor is _the_ core of Native Instruments. It is literally their foundation. I have a very hard time imagining them abandoning it. It's probably used internally for prototyping all of their upcoming releases. Heck, I'm pretty sure they have a version that spits out C++ code for them.

Reaktor gets a lot of love here too, my blocks pack is full of ZDF filters, flangers, phasers, delays, saturation etc…

I love Reaktor, if i have to choose one vst it will be it, so many times i was sitting in front of my lap top playing with Kontour or Drone-E and was shocked at the sounds i was able to play and make, i dont care too much about analog emulators, i am a sound explorer, weird otherworldly sounds is why i am in this hobby, the unknown when you fire up the granular synth with your new sample pack and you dont know what is gonna happen when you mangle the shit out of it. Reaktor is the best at that.

Awesome to see all the love for Reaktor. I hope it'll never die because it's a goldmine.

It's not possible for me to share it as this is a commercial ensemble but the walkthrough is pretty easy if you are relatively familiar with the editor

Yes that's awesome! Will modify ASAP!

Been modifying a lot of ensembles already so this should be perfectly doable.

EDIT: Lol yeah, that was super simple!

I'm going to tackle the ZDF filter modules next and see if I can add some random noise and parameter drifting. I want to build a truly characterful analogue emulation, which I feel is a bit lacking in the current crop of copy/paste ensembles in the user library (when it comes to the ensembles that is.. I see a lot of variety in the blocks system though!).
It would be so awesome to have Razor broken up into blocks with Razor OSC and Filter blocks

Makes me a little bit sad, to see all this phantastic work from one of the founders in the Golden Era, where Reaktor had a vibrant communitiy back then. I guess Reaktor is going to get a side business more and more and thus loosing relevance over time, what is really pitty.

I don't think it would be possible to separate them because the filters are just algorithms for modifying the sine banks. Same with the effects. They aren't actually "individual" systems, just mathematical functions that manipulate the sine waves. It's literally all done additively within Razor as far as I can tell.

THe included zdf filters in the core library are excellent !
I am now making a sem emulation ( taking inspiration from gforce sem )and it sounds so damn good.

Correct. Definitely an interesting ensemble in the collection. I don't know where NI is going with this, but for few years there they were really releasing interesting things for Reaktor.

I just bought it because of the arm support and its overwhelming. Not saying that is a bad thing but also not sure where to start. :help:

THe problem is that the sine bank ( which razor is using ) only has event inputs , for ultimate sound quality and adhering block standard , all inputs have to be processed on each sample tick ( Sample rate ) .
Technically we could use an event to audio module with eventupdate rate set to S.R
like this

but still the update could fall in between sample ticks .

get the free stuff we posted here, great instruments and effects, some people dont realize that if you buy Reaktor you get a lot of effects and instruments for free after that, you dont even need to buy commercial ensembles (but you may want, there is some great ones like Form and Razor)
