Reselecting drums everytime I open

Hi there
Completely new to this, and already frustrated out of my mind. Now, I know from experience the main problem is probably just me not using the software correctly/as intended. I have searched for solutions, but found nothing. Probably because I use words all wrong.
Ok. Following a very simple tut. Adding a "Micro Drum Sampler" plugin to track. Selecting 808 as kit.
Adding "Step Clip", one bar, and doing some kicks. Sounds truncated (Samples don't finish playing), but oh well. That's for another day, maybe.
Save the project. Reopen. No audio!. Have to go into the sampler (Where the waveforms seem gone from each sample), and reselect 808, which will reload it. Works again. Unless I close and save, then reopen. Then I have to reselect the sampler.
Everytime...

Any takers? What am I missing here? And also, if I can get the truncated audio fixed as well in same topic here, that would be great

This is a known issue with the Micro Drum Sampler presets. Until TSC gets around to fixing it I guess I'm going to have to re-post this info every month or so:

The kit pieces are all set to ADSR mode (with no R) rather than One Shot. This is also true for the same kits (808 and 909) in the full Drum Sampler. TSC should definitely fix that. It sounds terrible. They also re-load empty.

In the meantime you can make your own kits. It looks like samples added to pads will by default be One Shot. I found the 808 and 909 samples here:
C:\Users\{USERNAME}\AppData\Roaming\Tracktion\Waveform\Factory Presets\Micro Drum Sampler

If you're not on Windows, I have no idea where you might find them. (Please, people, include your OS when asking for help.)

These are all bugs the developers are aware of. And that the owners of the 12 pro version have been facing since its release. An update at the end of April should fix everything if the update is not rescheduled again))

Regarding the truncated sound: do you have a looped fragment? So, move the cursor (white vertical line) back to the loop field, and fantastic - the sounds are full again These are miracles, they happen.

And seriously. I ask myself: why waste energy on developing a drum machine if you have killed it for the user? And I think that 99% of users use other plugins and will never go back to the built-in one. How long does this bug last? But, the saddest thing is that there are plugins from other developers, and they have the same error.

I think you might be talking about a separate issue. Sometimes notes get truncated, even when playing live and re-starting playback will often fix that. However, the drum presets for Micro Drum Sampler are set to ADSR playback, which means the sample only play for as long as the notes play. As most notes for drums are short in duration, the drums sound truncated. Those presets need to be changed to One-shot to work correctly.
