It's so hard to find videos of the 292 (not t) where people aren't using them to create self-administered quasi-musical enemas. Sorry, that's just my opinion man. I feel like having more than one will matter but the last thing that I'm going to do is to create a god-damned krell patch. I can't really get a good sense of how valuable having more flexibility in the design is going to be.
I dunno man... (price notwithstanding) seems to me, it would be a natural with the 281t, and the Behringer 1050. :tu:

I’m running a patch with Delay/Stereo Cab sim/Stereo IR reverb, 1 instance of Marbles (Chaos Controller) and 1 instance of Tides (Looping Envelope). The delay, cab sim & reverb hit 62% of “DSP Usage” and adding in the 2 MI clones jumped to 82% which i think is acceptable.
So, like 10% hit for a M.I. control unit. Ok. I guess the convolution reverb is actually the most cpu hungry in that lineup. Most modular fx units don't even have the juice to run a convolution reverb.
elxsound wrote: Thu Apr 27, 2023 6:33 pm I won’t need uO_C anytime soon. Marbles (via Hector) is going to work fine for random curiosity usages.
Nice.

I guess you could also have a drum sequence running in Hector e.g. Marbles/Grids with 2 instances of Plaits (you said you didn t want a dedicated drum module) and still have enough CPU left for some other stuff.

Mimeophon, XPan and XOH!

I'm wondering about that weird burst of imagery at the end of the Stregambient video, right as Walker says something about "make room for patching throughout the spectrum." A weird carpet with arrows on it, a pineapple, a brick wall for just a couple of frames, those skeleton characters A & B, some really blurry gold thing. And the sound that happens at the time includes a sort of robotic voice saying "Make Noise"...

"Room in the spectrum" and a brick wall (limiter?) and A & B and... something vocoded? Maybe it'll be a spectral dynamics processor of some clever, flexible sort? :hihi:

I almost hope it's not something I'm going to be interested in though. No room at the inn :P

I’m going to play around to see what maxes it out, but no warnings on 2 instances of plaits, with Grids and Tides.

It’s definitely easier using the real thing (plaits) for shaping sound, but you’re right…. this would be a great substitute for drums in the rack.

No rush to get the Peaks clone, and I need to try vurt’s envelopes into qpas

That’s a bit scary… I missed those hints. Not sure I’ll be able to grab what they offer if it’s interesting.

I hope it’s a very boring whatever it is. Maybe a new patch cable color or a tshirt only available as a v-neck.

I noticed all that stuff too, and their last video hints (wink-wink) at something "new".

I went through the last one frame by frame, and only found this stuff, to stand out of the ordinary, aside from all the references/hints at 'flipping' (upside-down), and to going backwards, and "reversing" sound:

spectrum and lots of use of "noise" the word, through out the video too, some kind of coloured noise generating ...

A sequel to Telharmonic?

That'd be fun, and would create a serious dilemma for me. I really don't need another oscillator, not with the crowd I have plus all the great software and Grid and VCV and so on... but the original one was something I was always curious about and never tried.

There was this on Insta:

I'm not really catching any sort of clue in the song choices... St Elmo's Fire, Before The Next Teardrop Falls, Money For Nothing. But the sound itself seems like some kind of spectral shenanigans to me.

Ooh, maybe it's something else with the 0-Coast form factor. :D

Just caught that too… I also couldn’t pick up anything specific.

I would love another Make Noise desktop.
