Sure, but, Serge/Buchla are really the innovators here. In any case, I wish that they would charge $20 more and include proper mixing knobs. I'm kind of torn on this. I actually want another Maths, and I think that it has somewhat better ergonomics, but, $191 more value in ergonomics? Probably not. It might be worth it to me to just replace the pots on the Behringer and put proper knobs on it.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Wed May 03, 2023 9:49 am Their text on IG is as disingenuous as you would expect, they reference Buchla units, but then almost fully dupe the Maths inputs and outputs and call the module Abacus. ffs

It’s a shame they didn’t also dupe Function for $49 a unit.

Right? Really, just dupe the Serge stuff straight up. It's funny that I used to think that Serge stuff was super overpriced. By modern Eurorack standards, it was pretty reasonable.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Wed May 03, 2023 10:13 am It’s a shame they didn’t also dupe Function for $49 a unit.

I guess this is gonna get called Baths, then.

Just ordered a Behringer Cat now that the prices have gone down here in Europe (Hope it will arrive on Friday so i don't have to wait until Monday).
Seems like a Phat sounding synth with Unique Oscillator options ala Prophet + 2 Sub Oscillators so i guess it will be a good team member to my SE-02.
Looking forward to the P800 too

I was set on buying a Hydrasynth after selleng my Poly D but after trying it out in a shop it just didn't grab me enough.
Great UI, though. Ribbon and poly aftertouch are great, too.
But there were no sparks flying so...
HW compressor is on my list for 2023. Probably some sort of a LA2A copy.

Yeah, I had a similar experience. I wanted to like it because the UI is so well done, but in the end, it just didn't deliver for me.soulata wrote: Wed May 03, 2023 8:58 pm I was set on buying a Hydrasynth after selleng my Poly D but after trying it out in a shop it just didn't grab me enough.

That's been my takeaway from the video demos. Which is too bad, because otherwise it would make a great main keyboard.cryophonik wrote: Wed May 03, 2023 9:12 pmYeah, I had a similar experience. Let me know how you like it. Seems we could all own 3-4 of these Behringer modules and have them in a rack all in a row if someone would invent a great system - one with a switching mixer...D-Fusion wrote: Wed May 03, 2023 3:10 pm Just ordered a Behringer Cat now that the prices have gone down here in Europe (Hope it will arrive on Friday so i don't have to wait until Monday).

I feel like we'll all be buried in hardware in a few years. Makes me wanna start on my mud hut where I can teach THE FORCE to aspiring Jedi.

Another day, another Behringer product announcement, but at least this one has a video.
Is this based on any existing product? Would definitely wait to hear from real people how well it works, tracking and latency etc, but could be fun.

Yesterday was a fun day… 3xMIA, 4x Stereo Mix, Mixwitch and NTS-2 all arrived.
Those knobs on the Happy Nerding stuff are very cool… but another case of where modulargrid only gets you so far. I had to readjust placement to make sure I could use them when cables are plugged in.
So far this configurations works!

PP-1 actually seems to be an original module, unless they're ripping off something really obscure
I wonder why they insist on using USB B jacks though. Maybe they bought millions of them real cheap because nobody else wants them anymore.
