If you don’t learn what you have you won’t know what to compare and what you want to learn more of or use differently.

Threads like this become shopping lists of people’s current favorite plugins. You’ll end up with 20 compressors, 7 delays, 3 reverbs, and a synth or two. When maybe all you really want is multiband saturation and distortion. But you’d never know if you didn’t learn the basics of your DAW first.

I'm willing to invest in plugins that can help me achieve better results in my mixes.

Better mix results will come from practice, good ears and a decent monitoring setup. The plugins themselves make up a tiny percentage of a difference.
