ok thanks, i thought it sounds like a harmoniser giving a psychedelic effect, but i don't know much about that.
J.S.Bach also used a lot of Eventide Harmonizers for his choral work :hihi:

Is there a sale on the Eventide harmoniser? Unfortunately because of the COLC i don't have anything to spend.

I'm not familiar with the work of Bach, and i thought i've heard a similar effect to the Blur song on the voice of for example Beach Boys or maybe The Beatles. I just assumed it was a modern (post 1960s) effect, but no worries i was just interested anyway.

No, the Eventide stuff sounds quite different to me. This is just normal vocals, I think.
There's a (much slower) demo version which basically sounds the same and for which they certainly didn't use any expensive and difficult to operate studio-gear like that. And on live performances you can hear/see Graham Coxon doing the background vocals and again it sounds more or less the same.

That's the thing: what you hear is skiled people using their instrument(s) - and there is no real electronic shortcut to that.

Oh i was just wondering what the effect is, that is all! I thought i could hear a very modern but 1960s effect. I'll take your word for it that they have achieved the "effect" just using their voices. Thanks pal. Good song though, eh!

Well, I wasn't there when they recorded it - all I can go by is what I hear...

yes, it's a nice song. :-)

Eventide is a no brainer. In zplane I get weird shifting effects if the vocal has any reverb on it. Weird in a good way though.

i disagree.
What i hear out: its several techniques been used....different parts, different treatments.*
there are parts where "i" hear electronic FX.
And in my opinion is there more trickery going on than one would think at a first glance.
That work has totally been taken into subleties in my opinion.

but, JFYI: i´m not the slightest bit into production works at all ! so, what do i know.......
But i found the topic interesting ;)
OT:....and could cry, seeing Billy in "such" a Video. Oh well....

* would this fit vs. Finneas workflow ?
"Plugin has turned Drug now"....and the business knows it.
