Question about M8 to M9: Mux Devices

This is probably a silly overlook by me but, I am using M9 and cannot locate the devices that were in the older version's MUX Devices category. Things like MuSampla, Mult-Sampler, MuPad, and the empty MuDrum. Can someone point me in the right direction to find these? Thanks!

It sounds like you're using one of the recent beta versions, right?
In that case all details about M9.1.x is in the topic pljones linked to.
In short: These devices have been converted to plain MUX modular patches and don't exist anymore as explicit devices. The big advantage of that is that they are fully customizable now, both on modular level as wrt the front panel!

hi,
thank you for the help. i am using the 9.1.7 beta. while i do understand what has been told to me here, i am still not finding the old 'mux devices' when i navigate to there. i usually never use the modular area, which is probably not the best on my part. if someone could actually walk this dense fellow through so i can get to the sampla, multi-sampla & the empty mudrum that would be awesome. i apologize for my lack of understanding here.

I see what you mean, they're too easy to locate! MuDrum presets are there with 808 kit, 909 kit, etc, but I can't find the others!
MuDrum is here:
What: Mux Presets
Where: AppLibrary/Mux
Instruments
As for the other devices, I couldn't find them!

sorry to keep hitting this forum.
when i go to: mux presets > instruments > templates
MuDrum, MySampla, MuMulti-Sampla, and MuSynth are not there.
It only has: Basic Synth, Dakkra Wavework, Empty Synth, Multi Synth Rack, Rhipidon, SMF Player & Taifunk VC03
I'm probably in the wrong spot, i'm pretty confused, lol!

When MuLab 9.1 will be released the new zip package will contain MUX presets that simulate the legacy MuDrum, MuSynth, MuSampla and MultiSampla devices.jimhopf wrote: Fri May 12, 2023 12:54 pm thank you for the help. i am using the 9.1.7 beta. while i do understand what has been told to me here, i am still not finding the old 'mux devices' when i navigate to there. i usually never use the modular area, which is probably not the best on my part. if someone could actually walk this dense fellow through so i can get to the sampla, multi-sampla & the empty mudrum that would be awesome.
But if you have installed the M9.1 beta into a M9.0 folder these presets are indeed not yet there.
So here is a zip file with these MUX presets.
Best to put these 4 MUX files in the MuLab/App/Library/Mux/Instruments/Templates sub-folder.
Hope this helps.

Ah, so they aren't yet included then?

Thanks Jo.
I don't mind waiting, was just trying to find them to help out.
