This forum sometimes feel like walking in circles.
Fair remark... And I think I am (also) guilty of that 😬...
I didn't bring CLAP and polyphonic modulationtopic to Omnisphere thread but I did to this one...
But to me it is relevant to the discussion and a trendy topic right now with bitwig 5 also....

I think on very broad threads like this one you shouldn't be too surprised of recurring topics popping....
At least nobody talked about mac vs pc.... yet :hihi:

He made an assumption, I provided him some context. What you read into it is what's laughable.
PieBerger wrote: Fri May 12, 2023 10:08 amYou entire commentary is worthless because you never backup a single one of your claims, ever.
That, in itself is absolute bullshit. I am happy to provide any evidence whereever and whenever it is possible to do so. In fact, I get sick to death repeating myself over and over again. e.g. In the seemingly endless Mac v PC debates, I'm the guy who provides links to benchmarks to prove my point. Of course, it's not always possible to provide definitive evidence, e.g. to show that Pigments doesn't sound as good as similar synths, like DUNE or ANA-2. But if it is possible, I always try to back up my claims.
Yet here you are day in day out shouting your mouth off thinking you are god's gift to music production.
Hardly. I am just confident in my opinions. I actually come here to learn stuff, more than anything else. Sadly, what I mostly leanr is how pathetic people are.
If you have the right to be here and act/comment the way you do and expect people to take you seriously, so do the rest of us.
Fine if you are happy to put your money where your mouth is. But if you aren't willing to let others do unto you, you can't reasonably expect to be able to do unto others, can you? It would be like someone who's never passed a driver's license test criticising your driving. I mean, would you pay for guitar lessons from someone you'd never heard of or seen play a guitar? Would you simply accept he knows more than you do about it? Of course not, you'd want to know that he is in a position to teach you what you want to learn. Why is it any different when it comes to taking critique in a place like this? Credentials matter.
Put your money where you mouth is, for a change and post a link/s and or a screencap/s that proves to the rest of us just how awesome and successful you are.
I do that all the time. Do you want to see the chart we were in with Taylor Swift? Here it is -

Now, I'm sure it suits you to believe this is me trying to hype NOVAkILL as being on the same level as these other artists but that's because you're too f**king stupid to read in context. I provide this information for the sole purpose of showing that the charts we have appeared in are not obscure, genre-specific charts, as was suggested. The reality is that none of that is of even passing interest to me, beyond any leverage it gives our manager to get us onto festivals over there. Although I do enjoy using it to annoy you people, so there's that, too.
Now, if you really are all that, then you should be asking yourself why you need to spend inordinate amounts of your free time being a weapon's grade arse here, when you could be off enjoying your fame & fortune away from the rest of us, like normal successful people.
Unlike those arseholes, I care about the little people and they don't come much littler than folks like you, do they?

Don't provide any actual facts, it never ends well for you around here.

"Blitzkreig" is much more a Metal band name, it doesn't really work for what we do. But it is absolutely hilarious that Jac459 got that so f**king wrong. I mean, our band name is right there in my signature, in bold orange letters, although the covers thing was a bit of a lockdown side-project, hence RetroAktiv for that. And what kind of sheltered upbringing would you need to have gone through not to know what Blitzkreig Bop was?

No. No synth overload here. i keep it set to 9 not 11.
Seriously, i don't seem to experience "choice overload" or "option overload."

Well I requested the information and you delivered and I respect you more for it, however you are still a weapon's grade arse all the same. Despite your success, you still insist on being an insufferable prick here constantly and that is and always will be a problem.

You are not "sticking up the for little guy", whatever that means and this really is quite delusional thinking. I frequent many forums, on music production and other topics and no one and I mean no one, behaves the way you do, not without being kicked out for being so disagreeable and I doubt anyone in these forums looks at guys like you and thinks "yeah that's a well adjusted human being with my interests at heart".

You are a competent producer and musician and you do often share helpful information, but you are terrible person, at least in the way that you conduct yourself here. Calling everyone a f*cking idiot whenever they disagree with you, might work for you IRL, with actual real life human beings you have a deeper connection with, but it doesn't really work in the context of an online forum. We're strangers or maybe something closer to colleagues and behaving like this isn't acceptable. Please try harder to the helpful angry dude instead of the arrogant and pompous one. You could have simply posted the screencaps of the charts and that would have been sufficient to make your point, but your need to feel big and important and special is so strong that you had to write one of your essays and call me an idiot to boot. If you cannot recognise this behaviour as a massive flaw in your character and something that you should maybe work on, well I feel a bit sorry for you.

The Deutsche Alternative Charts (often referred to as DAC) is the primary record chart for Germany's alternative music scene. The charts cover genres ranging nu metal to Britpop, from rock music to alternative electronic. Established in 1997, the DAC rankings are generated by a weekly poll of 350 representatively selected DJs and trend dealers.
Sorry, but those charts mean nothing. Who knows who those 350 people are, how they are selected by whom, and whether there is corruption and nepotism involved. I prefer sales charts based on anonymous buyers, lots of them.

Your analogy is also off. I am not trying to teach you anything, nor am I claiming that what I do is any better, I am merely saying that what I heard was awful in my ears.

And yes, I can tell when someone is a poor driver, despite not even having a driver's license myself.

Careful? Marriage IS the major cause of divorces!
No matter what you do, you should always consider the first part of my statement: women and synths are basicly pretty similar, so better protect ya neck!

They are not representative charts, that is certain, the number 350 says it all. There is little info on it. Probably for a good reason.

Germany has regular charts. If a band is popular, it will show up there.
