Wanting to automate changes in the octave output throughout a song, and having a bit of trouble figuring out which assignment to choose. Whereas changing the octave on the actual plugin transposes all notes, the automation doesn't seem to have such an option. I tested it with various octave assignments, and it only seems to select certain notes based on that particular assignment.

Here's what the actual plugin looks like if you need a reminder:

And down there toward the bottom left in the output filters you can see an option to tweak the octave parameter. I wanna go from +1 to 2 to 3 back down to 2, etc.

Any ideas?

Thanks

if I understand you correctly. In the bluearp plugin, in the list of automatable parameters, there is a parameter "Master transpose oct" (which is equal to "transp. oct"), the assignment of the automation curve to it increases/lowers octaves. In order not to look for it in the list, when displaying the parameters window for automation, click "Learn" and click in the plugin in the OUTPUT FILTER field "transp. oct" to change the octave value, automation will determine which parameter you have used/changed, agree with this and then draw the curve in steps, or whatever you want, that the notes would be transposed to any possible octave value.
If it is, then you would have to scroll the list with the mouse wheel and you would see in the first column the parameter "Master transpose oct".
I'll add it just in case :) The "Learn" function always works correctly - it just reads the data. But, it happens that when searching / assigning the desired parameter, the "Learn" list may contain several parameters or not the one that is needed. It depends on the plugin, on the possibilities for automation presented in it! Be careful.

Ah, that sounds awesome, thank you. I'll be honest, I've tried to stay clear of mechanics I haven't fully given my attention to learning yet. "Learn" :) being one of them. I'll see if I can't figure out what you instructed.

Again, thanks.

Wow, that was so right on the money! :D I'm such a schmuck. That Learn function is like a magic spell. All I had to do was click the parameter on the plugin to designate it to the automation. :D I'm in tears laughing at myself.

Can't thank you enough, mostly for so gently making me force myself to learn such a simple yet profound feature of the software. Uh...I'm so embarrassed.
