I love that we've waited 11 years for this synth to drop and when it finally does we're all excited to get our hands on "this lousy t-shirt"

Drambo can do as many as you wantHanz Meyzer wrote: Sat May 13, 2023 8:14 pm Also like the 4 osc modifiers in serial. Can't think of a synth currently which can do that.

I was considering a larger number, I'm just scared the UI will explode, and the CPU along with it.
Never heard of Drambo, happy to check it out!

Workflow can become unwieldy too...Urs wrote: Sun May 14, 2023 12:12 pm I was considering a larger number, I'm just scared the UI will explode, and the CPU along with it.

That, too... it probably depends on what we can cram into the little Osc module in the audio processor rack...

I found it interesting how Vital did it. You start with 3 envs, but if you create the 3rd one, you get one more up to 6. You start with 4 LFOs but can have up to 8. So I like the idea of having the UI more dynamic, but it needs to fit into the overall UI concept. And Vital didn't apply this principle to OSCs and Filters..

I think Serum does it similarly. It's pretty good but it also might promote tabbing. OTOH we're going to implement horizontal scrolling for modules - mostly for Repro and Bazille though.

It makes for a lot of tabbing. I would rather Vital had 3 Envelopes visible at once without the big graphical display (which doesn't work well anyway).Fannon wrote: Sun May 14, 2023 1:10 pm I found it interesting how Vital did it. Just watched all the latest videos about the new editor on Urs' YT channel. Looks to become the most surgically precise wavetable/waveform editor on the market. There are features I didn't even know I needed.

Yeah... once I got some of those tools implemented and dabbled around with it, I realised I needed more. It's quite addictive from that perspective.Sound Author wrote: Sun May 14, 2023 9:02 pm Just watched all the latest videos about the new editor on Urs' YT channel. And besides being precise, it looks like it can be very fast... especially for setting up specific morphs.Sound Author wrote: Sun May 14, 2023 9:02 pm Just watched all the latest videos about the new editor on Urs' YT channel. Just finished checking out all of the videos. Zebra3, so far, seems to be shaping up exactly as I was hoping -- I tend to use oscilloscopes to help be as surgical as possible in the changes to a waveform, and I tend to like starting from simple waveforms and then twisting them with FM, distortion, folding, etc. I don't know if I'll see my family ever again, much less another synth, once Z3 comes out.

Hi Urs, my question after seeing the amazing vid on Casio style reso-waves… is it possible to replicate the “dual waves” like saw+res2 in the z3 osc or would I have to use two oscillators?Urs wrote: Sun May 14, 2023 9:27 pmYeah... once I got some of those tools implemented and dabbled around with it, I realised I needed more.
