These are some of my favorites! Well the Allen Strange Electronic Music is new/unread still… so can’t include it yet, but I will get there next.

*Edit: and the Patch & Tweak is super new. Came with the NTS-2 and I haven’t even opened it yet.

Spent many late hours this weekend making noise with my new OB-6 module. It took me years to decide whether or not I should buy one and, now that I have it, it's definitely a keeper :tu:

yup, it's a great resource and triggers so many great memories too.

when it came out, i asked my ex wife for it for xmas, she says "no, it looks like it's for kids, one of those read along with the sounds from the film"
i tried explaining but no!

so when i got divorced it was one of the first things i bought, that and a new guitar.
before id even bought a bed for my new place :dog:

worked out for the best tbh, ask whyterabbyt, he saw it, my old studio wouldn't have got the desktops in, let alone 3.5 racks of modules

i could literally stand in the center and reach all four walls :o

Still trying to sort out things to sell, but giving everything a fair shake so thought I was definitely going to get rid of my Graphic VCO. Doubled up a sound from a different VCO with a wave folder heavy bass patch on the Graphic VCO and realised it’s got some useful sounds I can’t get from my other gear. I’d only ever tried using it standalone for leads and stuff, but blended in it can be a beast especially with its suboscillator.

Nose to the grindstone as they say.

You know, we are all doing what it takes to make and record music.
This entails many extra things such as updating software and hardware, maintaining our studio environment and keeping inspired.

In a way there are rituals involved to that last item, so amidst the mundane process (such as copy protection, ect.) the musical soul can still fly.

Right now I am about to do one of those......

tidying up usb cabling and device drivers for a bunch of MIDI things that had gotten a bit messy.

still cant get the MicroFreak to upgrade firmware from 4.01 to 4.03 on my DAW though, MIDI control centre, which is so annoyingly f**king slow to detect it in the first place, crashes every time I try. will have to try on another PC.

sorted out syncing a whole bunch of stuff from the beatstep pro via olde-fashioned clock. I already had it hooked up as clock source for the Turing Machine, and from that to the Knit Rider. now, its also directly clocking two SQ1s, a Doepfer A160/A161 pair, the Little Nerd... and the MicroFreak... :hyper:

Reorganized the rack again in anticipation of Spectraphon (tbd) and uO_c (coming Monday).

I think I can be happy with this setup for a while, but I also did some planning ahead that could include Stages or Quadigy and Three Sister (if it’s available again this summer).
