That Norand looks interesting. Capable of doing all kinds of sonic terrorism in a dinky little box and shitloads of features that look quite unique. Not a huge fan of touchy keys, but it kinda suits what it does. Up to audiorate mod on everything!
I think I might be waiting eagerly for that to be released...

And the weird thing is that it appeals to me more than that Solar thing you posted on previous page. That solar thing looks very wow, and is obvs designed to attract our basic BackToTheFuture mad scientist geeky knobophilia, but I deep down know it's appealing to my base instincts - "shiny toy, want!" But I probably wouldn't make anything useful with it, outside of staring at a phantasmogorical flashing light show. Whereas that unassuming box is obvs intended to make noise with. I know I should want the Solar, but it's too...obvious?

To me the Solar thing seems kind of a nice design from a performance aspect but not a very exciting synth. I'd rather have a Lyra-8 again I think.

The Solar and Norand both look cool to me, but I’m not interested in any more synths at this point. That Jomox Moonwind might tempt me, though…

I preordered the Anyma Omega Desktop, a physical modelling synthesizer from Aodyo Instruments. It is capable of MPE, so I plan on using this with my LinnStrument for more realistic timbres once it arrives sometime during December 2023. I sold the MicroMonsta 2 and Deluge in anticipation for this, and no longer have any hardware synthesizers left, so at most I will use Ardour and Surge XT for the next while.

I think that it seems like a performance oriented design, but it seemed a bit cramped. It comes across to me as the hardware version of early 2000's synthedit/reaktor concoctions.foosnark wrote: Wed May 17, 2023 12:04 am To me the Solar thing seems kind of a nice design from a performance aspect but not a very exciting synth. I finally ordered a flightcase for the LinnStrument. You can see my entire journey of that here. 10mm laminate steel, birch plywood "Hexagrip" finish, 250mm storage compartment, fit-recessed label dish and loose self-adhesive label, along with shipping/handling, totaled £354.73, which is about $600 CAD. This does not include duties and taxes on importation. Along with the Anyma Omega above, I have already spent $2,000 CAD in the last 24 hours.

Agreed. I want to know what the cool thing with the 'launch' switch is.ghettosynth wrote: Wed May 17, 2023 2:49 amI think that it seems like a performance oriented design, but it seemed a bit cramped. I can't wait to strap that on and get on stage. Could it be uglier? I mean, I feel like if you added some fins or a turbo button on the side you could get that thing up to the next level.

strega still surprises me, how much variety there is on such a small box.bluedad wrote: Wed May 17, 2023 1:14 pm Have had the 0-ctrl for a few days now pairing with the strega...lost myself two hours this morning jamming with the 0-ctrl>neutron>strega
