1) I'd like to thank everybody for their feedback and suggestions
2) It would be a good idea to move topics related to 2CAudio
into its own separate thread
3) Let me clarify some things about SpinAudio
3a) Inspired by my online talks with Angus Hewlett (FXPansion) and Martin Fay (VAZ)
back in old school days of 1998-1999 I started SpinAudio in 1999 and invited
a friend of mine, a man with outstanding dsp/math/coding talent to joint me
3b) after about 5 years of productive work my partner started to
experience a serious health issues that resulted in inappropriate
actions against me
3c) as a result, in 2006 we had to stop the business operations
and I could not do anything under SpinAudio brand anymore.
So effectively as of May 2005 SpinAudio products became abandonware.
I'm not trying to hide this information from public, I'm not trying
to make myself look good. I'm trying to be honest with users so they have
all the necessary information to make informed decisions
3d) If you want to know details/story about SpinAudio you can email me and
I will provide with the explanation. Without knowing these details it's very easy to
start blaming me for what happened
3e) All these years I've been feeling really sorry about what happened to users.
I'll be trying to compensate to SpinAudio customers as much as I can
3f) Some SpinAudio users later became 2CAudio users and they knew that I had run
SpinAudio before
3g) I'm not going to use 'SpinAudio' as a brand-name again

note: SpinAudio products did not use online activation and most of products were available for Windows only so one could have used them (without tech support though) for pretty long period after 2005.

Funny. For me, it's completely the other way around.jens wrote: Wed Jun 01, 2022 9:34 am Exactly my point: trust is important. And from what I have seen so far I have no reason to not trust Denis and no reason to trust Andrew.
The party who feels the need to constantly air the dirty laundry publicly is very suspicious to me. Even if you are in the right (I have no idea who's right or wrong here, and, I don't care much either), there's zero reason to do that. This kind of defamation shows the real character.

Also, as Denis has pointed out regarding SpinAudio, 2C Audio is the second time his business has imploded under very similar circumstances. There is a bad track record here, and Denis is the common factor.
So there is good reason not to trust Denis as well. It would require a huge leap of faith on the part of customers after what has happened. I hope Denis understands that.
I also hope he doesn’t involve any more business partners. Either he can’t work well with others, or he has had very bad luck with partners. Or maybe some combination of both. Personally, I think you make your own luck.

He's obviously simply much more of a coder than a business-man, so it is understandable that he seeked partners to do that for him. Also, how could you possibly anticipate who does what several years down the road? Keep in mind that it seems to have worked well for him for a long time.
If anything, I think one mistake he probably made (in both cases) was to not seek professional legal advice before joining the partnership.
When doing business, unfortunately the most important rule is that you can't trust anyone. Ever. (Not even yourself.)

Not meaning to revive an old thread (he says, while reviving an old thread), but just would like to say that RoomVerb M2 is still my all-time favorite reverb. I was able to keep it running through various upgrades, but it got the better of me about 6 years ago. I've not found anything I like as much since.

thanks for good words about RoomVerb M2. RoomVerb's Early Reflection engine, albeit improved, has been used in Aether and is a base of my new reverb which I'm working now. RoomVerb M2 users will get the new reverb for free.

1. reverb is aimed for release in about 4-5 months
2. reverb prototype should be available for testing in about 6-8 weeks
3. anyone who has experience in betatesting please email me at info@devproaudio.com
4. 2CA and SpinAudio users who are eligible for a free copy of my new reverb could take part in testing of the prototype too. their feedback will be appreciated and will help me to tune the algorithm.
I'm also working on a recreation of 3D Panner Studio and it might be available for betatesting within the same time frame. 3DDelays is also in the works. FX Designer will be recreated in some form too.

Just read you are involved with Aether too. Have it and love it as well.
You have been involved in two of my favorite plugin/software products.
I can remember the total number of SpinAudio plugins I bought as they are on an old Windows XP tower.

3D delays and
3D panner for sure
All of the plugins were awesome
Aether is awesome
Is there any way to get the old SpinAudio plugins to register or be functional in newer DAWS since SpinAudio is no more?

There is no much sense to try to make old SpinAudio code work on modern systems. It's easier to re-do things in modern way.
And I have a better 3D HRTF engine now. I might have 3D Panner beta soon.
