Post

There is a Hyperion sale on tracktion.com. I doubt, they'll update Waveform untill the action is over.

It would be very uncommon for TSC to release a version of Waveform when they say they think it will happen. They said end of April, so my guess is some time in June or even July. That's just how it goes. There are companies that hit closer to the target but there are others that hit farther.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

is it me?,or didn't they release waveform pretty regularly before?

I've just spent some time scouring older posts on the forum to try to get the dates for versions 8 and 9 to update my list of release dates. The dates below are what I believe to be the release date for each version. For versions 9-11 there was a public beta version released first and those with the previous licence could download it and try it out, while reporting on problems. For versions 5-8, I noted how many days later the release had come compared to the previous one. For most of the years, NAMM was in late January and was when we had our first glimpses at new versions. It's back in January next year.

4 2013 Jan 24
5 2014 Feb 1 +8
6 2015 Feb 12 + 11
7 2016 March 1 + 18
8 2017 March 30 + 29
9 2018 Beta from Jan 6, full on Feb 18
10 2019 Beta from Jan 4, full on Mar 23
11 2020 Beta from Feb 9, full on Mar 18
11.5 2021 Feb 13
12 2022 Mar 21
12.5 2023 ???

It's like putting up a sign saying "I'll be back in 15 minutes".

Lol, true. Still, first time I've seen any hints come out on Facebook. Hopefully it's not a month long hype campaign or anything.

I should not have upgraded to this version 12.5, I have been testing Sitala which is a plugin that does not consume anything and in this version it takes 16% Cpu with all the outputs, I have tested it in Reaper and it does not reach 2%. They need to improve that. The problem from what I see more carefully is that when you accept that it generates all the plugin outputs, it creates 16 instances of the plugin, not one, and the outputs therefore increase the consumption excessively. I have tested Kontakt and it goes up to 38% cpu.
