I regularly get locked out of my plugins. ... none of my other iLok Cloud plugins were affected.

I assume that UAD native licenses can be put onto the iLok USB dongle as an option?

A couple of quick points regarding UAD Native plugins:

- Activation is either iLok Cloud/Dongle - no machine activation.
- License transfers are not allowed for Native plugins. (this was posted by someone here few pages back as well)

However, I see the option in my account to "Transfer iLok licenses to new User ID". Could this be considered as a legit hack for reselling/license transfer?

Either way, any recommendations for distinguished UAD effects/instruments? I think I am covered with Waves, Arturia, IK and other stuff for most effect emulations, but OPAL synth looks interesting to me.

I think going for individual purchases could turn out to be a better deal with the $25 voucher (valid for purchases >= $99) than the x for x custom bundles if you can use the $25 voucher on multiple separate orders.

I'm thinking of getting 5 out of these, trying not to spend too much...

Did you see that they're doubling bundles right now? Meaning if you buy the 2 Custom Bundle, you'll get to choose 4 plugins, and if you buy 3 Custom Bundle, you'll get to choose 6 plugins.

FWIW, my personal opinions on them:

EP-34 - Must-have, super lush
Lexicon 480L - I prefer the sound of the 224 but it's hard to argue with how much more the 480L gives you
EMT® 140 - Haven't used in years
Ocean Way Studios - Must-have (it's a shame that UA didn't do Capitol Chambers and Hitsville in the same way)
Korg® SDD-3000 - Not too different sounding from the included Precision Delay Mod L and lacks some of the Delay Mod L's best features
AMS RMX16 Expanded Digital Reverb - Haven't used in years

Yes, find someone selling used hardware loaded with plugins. Be careful because there are cracked cards out there that come loaded with plugins and you probably won't be able to add any new plugins to them. But there are also plenty of legitimate people who sell off their unused plugins and loading them on to hardware is the only way UA allows them to do it.

The demos are great. Seems like a fun workflow, too. I'll probably buy the bundle with their AD/DA plugin.

Is there any compelling reason to update from 6 to 7 yet if you mostly just plan on using pre-made Kontakt instruments that don't come with 7? The only Kontakt 7 only libraries I've read about are Player compatible, so no need to buy the update for that if I ever want to use them.... It doesn't load any faster does it?

Looking over the new features, none of them interest me much.

New browser - seems unappealing, might take even longer to load?

Updated time-stretching - this was not much of an issue in 6... does it actually improve the time-stretching in old libraries like 8dio's Silka? (Not that I use it much)

Psyche delay - already have it through FM8 FX plugin.

IDK how long it will be before a developer releases an interesting 7-only non-Player library....

Why didn’t they include the sequencer?
That’s kind of missing the point. It was the swing on the sp1200 that made it king, as much as the dirty 12bit sound.
