Echophon prices finally hit $300… I’m still waiting for sub $300Shabdahbriah wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 6:24 pmWow. Just checked Reverb, and the prices areI lucked-out on mine second-hand from dealers several years ago, @ $230 and $250 respectively. Both in near mint condition. I'll PM you if I happen upon one under $300.

Hadn't checked for a few days, but am doing so fairly regularly. If I find one I will let you know. I know I scored when the mimeophon was released, so there was a large dump.elxsound wrote: ↑Tue May 30, 2023 10:23 amEchophon prices finally hit $300… I’m still waiting for sub $300Shabdahbriah wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 6:24 pmWow. Someone was selling one of these cheap on eBay so I had to swoop. I now have to work what the hell I swap out to make room for it. It’s a physical modelling thing that will do claps, snaps and other percussion noises and I’ve been after one for a while.

I think the Erica Synth Hats A module is outta there, I’ve been using the Crucible for most cymbal/hat sounds anyway.

This arrived today

all neatly wrapped - wanted to get a picture before my fingerprints were all over it

Feels kinda unreal to finally get an Enner after so long.
It's beautiful, pic doesn't do it justice

Nice one!! I really wanted one, but I needed to focus purchases elsewhere. That’s going to be tons of fun to use.
Let us know if you get that tingling electrical sensation when using it. Sounded scary, but cool at the same time.

No, it's really low voltage. You can tell it obviously goes down with 3+ points contacted.
Already learning techniques like wobbling your finger on the center to get a L-R balance wave.

I have a feeling by the time I’m ready to add one, it’ll be priced to high on the 2nd hand market. So it goes… can’t own it all.Constructed Identity wrote: ↑Wed May 31, 2023 1:10 pmNo, it's really low voltage. You can tell it obviously goes down with 3+ points contacted.

Going DAWless on the cheap! Already spending more time making music than on the bloody PC. Reminds me of when I owned a U-20 and a TG-33!
Bought so far: Volva Samp0le, Volca Bass, Volca Beats.. coming in 2 days, Liven XFM. On the list next: Sonicware Texture Shop. I hope to post something in the Cafe once I re-learn how to perform live...!
I miss my TG-33, joystick and all...

waiting on my strange (finally) books.
aside from the wait to be dispatched, i received tracking, at the start of may, and they've been sat in canada, at the same depot till wednesday when there was an update, they were in the uk
sent by actual snail mail it seems.

i guess, thats kickstarter

been chatting to jason a bit, they have some interesting stuff, a heart monitor to cv or some sort of brain sensor to midi.
seems toronto uni is a bit up on funding such things.
