In 12.5 version some VST plugins have big blank (black) space at the top of window and bottom part of plugin UI is invisible. For example - Helm, Vital, OB-Xd, Sitala, ValhallaSupermassive and so on...

VST3 version of Vital don't have such problem.

Setup: MacOS Mojave, Waveform 12.5.5 Free.

In 12.5 version some VST plugins have big blank (black) space at the top of window and bottom part of plugin UI is invisible. For example - Helm, Vital, OB-Xd, Sitala, ValhallaSupermassive and so on...

VST3 version of Vital don't have such problem.

Have you tried enabling dpi awareness on those plugins (bottom of right click plugin menu), close then reopen UI of plugin often works on plugins that dont display properly.

I haven't really tested it enough to say. The one bug that really irked me was the broken tag cloud and that's been fixed. I'm able to do what I normally do without any troubles. The new features, for the most part, aren't likely to get used by me very often.

Still getting password prompt every launch on macOS Ventura 13.4 (M2). Also a crash when typing in a tag, then selecting a tag without pressing enter. Otherwise so far so good.

-Edit: Turns out the password issue was caused by Waveforms keyfile being read only for staff & everyone. Changing it to read/write fixed the issue. (File was located in ~/Library/Application Support/Tracktion/Keyfiles). Excellent support from the Tracktion team!

Sorry, i can not find this menu option (DPI awareness). But found that this problem is depends on Waveform UI scale (Look and Feel -> Display scale). If it's more than 100%, then blank space is at the top of plugin window, if it's less, then blank space is at the bottom. If it's 100%, then no problem.
But i can not use DAW with 100%

I have the same issue. Since upgrading to Waveform 12.5.3/12.5.4/12.5.5, the majority of my VST2 plugins (including Tracktion's own DAW Essentials Collection, Master Mix and Micro Synth Pack) now show a black area either at the top or bottom of the plugin window (also hiding part of the plugin) if Waveform's GUI scaling is set at any percentage other than 100%.This happens on two intel Macs, one running macOS 10.15.7 and the other running macOS 13.4, but not on a PC running Windows 10. This issue did not exist in Waveform 12.1.8 or earlier.

As a temporary workaround, the VST window can sometimes be reset to its expected state by clicking on the settings tab and clicking back onto the current project tab, or by resetting Waveform's GUI to 100% and then back to the GUI percentage that you were using.

Overall the update is still very bad for me. (Intel mac OSX 12.6.1). Projects that load fine in Waveform 12.1.8 are unusable in the latest update due to crackles, CPU spiking and cutting out of the audio engine. I really hope they stabilise this, because it's a good DAW.

Yes, something bad takes place with WF. And it is strange as far as 12.x before 12.5 was rather stable as, say, other Tracktion software I tried (never have any problems with F-em).

I hope they will keep small releases with bug fixes.

I have reported on their support system a number of bugs I've found.

Hopefully they will be focussed on addressing the bugs instead of moving onto new features and being radio silent for the next few months.
