I really dig how Lyrebird sounds, and I'd like to get the exact color/timber I get from Lyrebird in Colour Copy.

So my question is: Which Colour Copy parameter settings are the same exact parameter settings in Lyrebird? And I'm only talking about the parameter that changes the color and timber of the sound (aka Lyrebird's CLEAN/BRIGHT/DARK).

Lyrebird has the following parameters: CLEAN - BRIGHT - DARK

Colour Copy has the following parameters: RESO - SPARKLE - FUZZ - SNAP - DUSK

It also has a BRIGHTNESS and a SATURATION knob.

So my question is the following: What settings in Colour Copy give me the exact CLEAN/BRIGHT/DARK sound of Lyrebird?

I'm sorry I repeated myself a few times. I appreciate it.

By the way, Urs himself said the following in a YouTube comment reply:
Urs: “With CLAP we'll certainly bring audio inputs for synths back to the table. It is not our super highest priority atm though.”

Follow-up question by a YouTube user: “Does that mean (ONE DAY IN THE FUTURE) I can route my microphone input signal through Repro-1/5?”

Urs: “I totally hope so!”

No one?

Colour Copy is based on the ideas and principles of Lyrebird, but it's had quite a journey away from what Lyrebird is. I do not think any of the Clean/Bright/Dark settings of Lyrebird have been taken over unchanged...

Thank you for the reply Urs. So based on what you're saying, if I want to use Lyrebird as my delay of choice, I need to wait for the implementation of (audio inputs for synths) as you mentioned in a YouTube comment (shown below).

Do you still confirm the response you gave on YouTube? In other words, can we one day use Repro's Lyrebird and Drench on our microphone input? Thanks again.

Not to speak for Urs, but U-he has a LOT on their plate right now (Filterscape, Uhbiks, Zebralette, Zebra3, Tyrell, further improving MPE support somewhere, various bugfixes and platform updates). So short version: it could easily be a few years before audio inputs get exposed (dare I say, "if ever").

Just saying this to set expectations in case you're thinking, "oh, this will be a few months at most." I'd think of it as, "oh, this will be a few years at least."

And if it happens sooner, then bonus!

Yes, you're right. I have no expectation at all. The fact that an important developer (one of the most important ones in fact) takes the time to answer some random dude's question, is beyond class act. That's enough for me.

Yeah, not a top prio, but we're more and more building our internals around CLAP, so that one day audio input for synths should become a possibility. Yet, of course, our priorities are well summarised by Funkybot's Evil Twin.

That's great to hear. Thank you again Urs.

I heard somewhere that there will be a cut-down free version of Filterscape called "Filtalette".

Is it true ?

Cut down free version of Filterscape already exists and is called Podolski, actually.

Good Morning Urs,

I understand that we've discussed this before. Having said that, I use Drench and Lyrebird everyday and there is not a day that I do not wish I could pass audio through them.

• The smoothness of the feedback is unparalleled in Lyrebird.
• The lushness of the decay is divine in Drench.

In my opinion, there is nothing out there that sounds like Drench and Lyrebird. They desperately cry for audio to be passed through them.

So I can't wait for the day that CLAP allows us to pass audio through Repro and its effects section.

And if you think allowing this, may disincentivize people from purchasing ColourCopy anymore, you can (for example) unlock this capability only for those who've already purchased ColourCopy or as soon as they purchase ColourCopy in the future.

But if you still think, this is not something you'd like to do, I understand.

Just had to ask you one more time. Apologies.
