I don't understand why this developer offers no demos for their products. If I were to be cynical it would be that they want you to have to buy it - and then hope you can't be bothered to take up the 7day (very short window) refund offer, if it's not what you want. Aside from product quality, how you treat customers is the road to success- look at Spectrasonics for instance. Ok, got THAT off my chest LOL

I have history with thier customer support: it is non-existent. I knew no history of Hexachords (now going by Orb Plugins) and bought Composer on Pluginboutique. It was a hot mess. Hot garbage mess.

I put in a ticket with Hexachords, and got no response after 4 business days. So I put in a ticket with PB, The rep there got back to me promptly, and contacted Hexachords on my behalf. After a few days PB got back to me and said Hexachords won't give a refund since there is a demo available.

I explained that, no, there isn't. And Hexachords didn't even list Composer on thier site as a product any more. PB guy basically said: " wow, you're right. No kidding." And refunded me the purchase. I have a feeling PB ate that refund.

Still never got a response for my original ticket to Hexachords.

Stay away from "Orb Plugins" ladies and gents.

Good news. After premiere on Plugin Boutique, their X version (not upgrade) has... one, single rate after a month. Usually is not less than 100 and some plugins have thousand of rates. Good luck with cheating people. Bye bye Orb crap.

Pigments is often $99 and upgrades from V2 to V3 and from V3 to V4 were free!

Update - they great upgrade offer is now worth nothing, since everyone can buy their Orb Synth X on Plugin Boutique for 29 euros.

And still... only single vote. It's really nice to see that people are smart enough to avoid this.

Orb suite plugins stole my work and sent it to the internet. I made the mistake to load my midi file on this plugin with my new idea.

I wonder why Pluginbutique does not check the plugins before putting them in sale - a shame, they are capable to selling anything.

Plenty of apps and vsts use telemetry... I can't say I levy too much blame at PB for missing this, if they are in fact concerned at all regarding user privacy, etc.

Hexchords (now Orb) are garbage. I agree that I would like to see thier products disappear from PB, just as thier own products vanish from thier site when support costs on thier messes gets to be too much.

PB do not stop selling anything based on user reports. I reported major bug in Union (Windows version only) that changes any sound contains LFO so basically when you start rendering anything (or just press STOP/PANIC in your DAW) sound will change (it's unacceptable). Well, I get few different answers, but still this plugin is on sale etc. So even if they KNOW that some plugin has major bug (that probably never will be fixed), they doesn't care so much.

I checked a few more aspects of the Orb Suite, unfortunately it's specially made. These plugins don't work if they can't do their dirty work:

I blocked internet access for Orb Suite with PluginsMonitor - Orb Suite crash.

I blocked internet access for the DAW running Orb Suite with a firewall - Orb Suite crash.

The only way is to completely block access to the Internet on the computer, that's the only way Orb Suite doesn't crash.

The conclusion is obvious, Orb Suite is specially designed to steal our data!

How can you block the internet just for a plugin? As far as I know, this is not possible.

I just said how, you must use PluginsMonitor. Download it from https://vst.saschart.com/audio_plugins_ ... r_firewall and enable monitoring for the plugin, then block the internet for that plugin.
