Hm ... Front of an MDD G4?Urs wrote:On the other hand... guess what the background image of Filterscape was before photoshopped... hint: It's a photo... the key to it is the darker area in the bottom right corner...
Someday I'll look back on all this and laugh... until they sedate me.

Close, but no. It's brushed aluminiumGarfield wrote:Hm ... Front of an MDD G4?Urs wrote:On the other hand... guess what the background image of Filterscape was before photoshopped... hint: It's a photo... the key to it is the darker area in the bottom right corner...
I took a photo of a G5's side for my materials texture collection, but it didn't look like brushed aluminium anymore. Nevertheless, after some photoshop treatments it made a good background for my prototype plugins.
All the stuff in Filterscape's gui is just more treatments on the same picture, like cutting out areas for layer effects, applying adjustment layers with mask etc.
So... I'm keeping the tradition of not using 3D software to render photorealistic guis. Filterscape is a virtual product and so it doesn't pretend to be anything real, other than existing somewhere inside the enclosure of a computer.
Hence, the only hardware version being appropriate, is a computer, if not a Cube then maybe a MDD, a PB or a G5
(I had too much snapshot dial, I tend to argue circular logic recently...)
